INSIDE SOAP OCTOBER 16-30 1998 ISSUE

Coinciding with Dream Team's first anniversary of airing on Sky One, Inside Soap dedicated a full-page spread to the show, covering detail and characters up to date, including confirmation that Georgina had in fact died from her overdose. Probably the best magazine article on DT ever written! (outside of all the Sky Magazine coverage)

In-brief listings for satellite shows, describing events in DT to occur between 2.15 and 2.18 (20th - 29th October 1998)

1999

For the week of Season 2's finale, both special double-length episodes were described as 'Dream Team Specials', and broke with the regular 6:30pm schedule up against teatime soaps Family Affairs, plus at this time three-nights-a-week Hollyoaks' Thursday episode, to go up against then TV big players Brookside and The Bill in what would be DT's first ever 8:00pm showing.

SKY THE MAGAZINE SEPTEMBER 2001 ISSUE

The return of Dream Team amongst other highlights listed on the plastic cover of this month's edition.

Contents page listing and main feature article for Season 5's launch on Sunday 16th September 2001. Louis Decosta Johnson (Monday Bandele) gives comment. Apparently Georgia Zaris (Claudia) was a ringer for Jennifer Aniston (I could never see it myself!)

Competition advert and terms to celebrate Season 5’s launch, offering one lucky viewer and a friend the brilliant opportunity of visiting the set, having lunch with the cast and even appearing on-screen with a walk-on part. Runners up were offered “Harchester United goody bags” which included Dream Team wallets and rucksacks – haven’t seen any of those on ebay (yet). If anyone reading got in on this, let us know how it went!***

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 15-21 SEPTEMBER 2001 ISSUE

Features listing announcing DT's return for its fifth season this week.

Main article on the Season 5 premiere, with details on the new characters arriving. While the big name newcomers like Stefan Dennis (Sam Irving) and Glen Murphy (Alan Rothman) are included, the last featured character place goes to Amma Antwi as Stevie Shaw's fiancee(!) Yasmin. I know her Big Brother was the most current and they were hyping that up, but surely West End star Frances Ruffelle (Dawn) or Bond Girl Nina Muschallik (Nikki) were more deserving of the slot?

Listing for 5.1, airing on Sunday 16th September 2001.

2002

SKY THE MAGAZINE MAY 2002 ISSUE

Contents page listing and Editor's choice column detailing Season 5's finale "Forsaking All Others"

***Revealed - The winners of Sky Magazine's September 2001 Dream Team competition, pictured with Terry Kiely.

Main coverage of 5.32 with an interview with Georgia Zaris (Claudia). Even the writer hoped the episode wouldn't be her last appearance!

Listing for 5.32, airing on Sunday 5th May 2002.

Contents page listing.

In PDF Page 1 of a three-page feature on the upcoming sixth season of DT, starting with the new (Jane Campbell as Jacqui Wallis) and returning girls (Nina Muschallik, Angela Saunders).

In PDF Page 2 with Rachel Brady and the first details on the new season, including the erroneous 'Dragon Park' instead of Lair.

In PDF Page 3 with profiles on the club's new players - Curtis, Stuart and Marcel (though don't know about Marcel being 23, more like 27!) Plus a match report on the UEFA Cup Final and what went on when Harchester's reserves played AC Milan in place of the injured/dead players following the coach crash at the end of last season.

6.1, the premiere of Season 6, is Pick of the Day for Sunday 6th October 2002.

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 5-11 OCTOBER 2002 ISSUE

Return of Dream Team for its sixth season promoted on this week's front cover.

Contents page listing for the magazine's main DT feature.

Listing for 6.1, airing on Sunday 6th October 2002.

LOADED MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2002 ISSUE

As part of Loaded's Most Wanted of 2002 feature, Angela Saunders (Tash) was that month's cover girl but also the centrefold of their 'Southern Belles' section. Small Q&A here.

From the same feature as above, Natalie Robb (Lizzie Conlon), who was appearing in "Doctors" at this time is included in the 'Flowers of Scotland' section, with her time on Dream Team mentioned in her career brief.

SKY THE MAGAZINE MAY 2003 ISSUE

An Angela Saunders centric issue, beginning with DT features on the magazine front cover heading and contents page.

Season 6 finale advertising.

Pages 1 and 2 of Angela Saunders' big feature interview with Sky The Magazine.

Page 3 of same Angela Saunders interview - interestingly stating she is not quitting the show, yet Tash only makes a brief return nearly a year later.

Season 6's finale, Series 6 Episode 32, is listed by Sky Mag as one of TV's Hot Picks for Sunday 18th May 2003.

SKY THE MAGAZINE SEPTEMBER 2003 ISSUE

Recap of Season 6 Episode 32, repeated at 8pm on Sunday 21st September 2003 in preparation for the beginning of Season 7 the following Sunday.

Sky Magazine's main publicity for Season 7's premiere, recapping the end of Season 6 and teasing what was coming in the new series.

More DT related press, this time Angela Saunders featuring in a quiz - though she did not feature in Season 7 at this point!

As expected, Sky Magazine awards Dream Team's return for Season 7 as its Top Show for Sunday 28th September 2003.

SKY THE MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2003 ISSUE

Contents page listings for this month's special feature 'Purple Reign'.

A one-off three page feature showing Harchester United in the form of a visionary fanzine enjoyed by real-life Premiership clubs. The 'issue' is set in the present pace of early Season 7 episodes, with Luke Davenport settling in at the club and offering the chance to win merchandise; the new Chinese-inspired strip, and this time, a ball signed by the team.

Page two of 'Purple Reign' sees a character interview with Abi plus a big introduction to Pilar as a regular character - with a gorgeous full-size pic of Marem Hernandez.

Page three concludes with hints to upcoming stories in the show, particularly Fletch's testimonial and Mario Melchiot's cameo. Regular DT pundit Andy Gray also gives his take on recent events, and a cool cartoon strip telling the story of Fletch's attempt to play in the UEFA Cup Palma match following being charged with murder!

In keeping with their regular support for the show, Sky Magazine awards all four October 2003 episodes with special listings on each Sunday, with (7.3) "Amazing Grace" receiving pick of the day out of this month's batch of episodes. Strange as you would have thought (7.2) "Long Live The King" would win hands down.

2004

SKY THE MAGAZINE MAY 2004 ISSUE

Season 7 finale mention on front cover of this month's issue

Contents page listing

In PDF - Page 1 of a double-page feature and big interview with Marem Hernandez (Pilar)

In PDF - Page 2 Marem models the Season 7 strip - socks included!

7.32 the season finale is the main pick for 'Today's Top Shows' on Sunday 16th May 2004

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 15-21 MAY 2004 ISSUE

Small piece on the Season 7 finale, although with the week-behind info that a character will be killed off in this last episode. Presumably also, the mention of 'King' arriving refers to Davenport having been the big arrival following Fletch's departure.

Episode synopsis for 7.32 (TX: 16/05/04)

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 16-22 OCTOBER 2004 ISSUE

Feature article of Dream Team's return for Season 8, with info on the new characters joining plus those still present. Note the female characters pictured are credited oppositely!

Pick of the Day highlight for Sunday 17th October 2004. Describes the girls as 'Pouting, Pampered Partners', though this photoshoot was probably the most glamorous Holly the physio was ever allowed to be!

Episode synopsis for 8.1 (TX: 17/10/04)

SNEAK MAGAZINE 16-22 NOVEMBER 2004 ISSUE

Nestled in-between shots of heart-throb of the time Chad Michael Murray and slightly cringe-worthy quizzes to tell if you are "More Barking Than Britney", was a cut-out pin-up of the Season 8 lads, taken from one of their promotional shots. Just what every teenage girl wanted on their wall!

2005

SKY THE MAGAZINE MAY 2005 ISSUE

Sky Magazine's very own 'Pick of the Day' in Today's Top TV, unsurprisingly for Season 8's finale, airing on Sunday 29th May 2005. Refers to Viv Wright as still 'new manager', in what ultimately was his last episode.

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 28 MAY - 3 JUNE 2005 ISSUE

Feature article on Season 8's finale and the year's events, even remembering to include their distain with Rebecca Loos' acting! They also had the exclusives on DT's future published a day before Jane Hewland revealed them on harchester.net: the feature-length Christmas (later New Year) special, and the earliest of details for Dream Team 80's, which may have originally been set in the 60's.

Episode synopsis for 8.32 (TX: 29/05/05)

SKY THE MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2005 ISSUE

Contents page listings for Season 9's premiere on Sunday 16th October 2005.

Main publicity feature Q&A with the four new female regulars in Season 9. Shame there wasn’t a duplicate one with the new boys too, Rose brothers etc. At the time everyone believed Ashleigh (Naomi Ryan) was set to be Viv’s new girlfriend, before it was known Philip Brodie had left at this point.

The double-slot airings of Season 9 Episode 1 and documentary “Stranger Than Fiction” are one of the picks of the day.

2006

RADIO TIMES 15-21 & 22-28 APRIL 2006 ISSUES

Listings for the Easter double-bill Charlton penalty showdown (9.26-27), and big owner reveal the following week (9.28).

SKY THE MAGAZINE MAY 2006 ISSUE

Contents page listing for the launch of Dream Team 80's this month.

A surprising (considering DT's axing had been confirmed a month earlier) full page feature on the show's mini series prequel. Going into great detail about its link to the main show, issues in football at the time being covered, and talks to Duane Henry (Kevin Nelson) and Executive Producer and former star John Salthouse.

With the actual Season 9 finale getting the briefest of mentions in favour of Sunday 14th May's Celebrity World Cup Soccer Six, Sunday 21st May 2006 sees Dream Team 80's chosen alongside the year's Coca-Cola League Championship Play-Off Final.

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 13-19 MAY 2006

Listing for 9.31 airing on Sunday 14th May 2006. With DT's axing announced in April 2006, press coverage for the show's season finale or even the new series return was extremely small or non-existant. Main articles for Season 9's finale were omitted for ones of DT80's premiere one week later.

TV & SATELLITE WEEK 20-26 MAY 2006

Contents page listing for the beginning of the mini-series.

Main feature with an interview with Alex Ferns, and again like the Sky DT80's coverage, a good lengthy article, something that became less common as the show reached it's last couple of series.

Listing for DT80's Episode 1, beginning the three-part series on Sunday 21st May 2006. Plus a
Pick of the Day.

SKY THE MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2006 ISSUE

Small text-box listing for the postponed-premiere of Season 10 on Sunday 29th October.

2007

SKY THE MAGAZINE JUNE 2007 ISSUE

For the month of DT's series finale, Sky Magazine, who had been the show's biggest press support since launching during Season 3, opted to promote the current "24" Day 6 season finale as their main TV drama feature, as Sky One did themselves on the night of June 3rd in what was a terribly unfortunate clash for the end of Sky One's flagship show of 10 years. We were given two of the briefest mentions from the magazine however, which is better than nothing!

NEW INSIDE SOAP 2-8 JUNE 2007 ISSUE

Listing for the final episode.
