Jimmy asks Liam if he'll continue to spend time with Gemma, as she's remembering more everyday thanks to him. Liam and Gemma find it hard pretending not to be a couple whilst Jimmy is around. Desperate to make money, Gavin asks Tony to arrange as much work for the Moody brand as he can, although can't face telling Cindi the house is lost without the all-important deposit. Unable to pay the money back in time, Gavin goes to see J.F where surprisingly, he is offered a lifeline. J.F tells Gavin if he gets him a comprehensive report on Harchester's preparation for Sunday’s game against Wigan, he'll forget he ever had a marker with the club. J.F wants to use the information on his spread-betting site, where he'll be able to control the odds, convincing Gavin it is ultimately his only way out. Sean goes down with a hamstring sprain in training, and Gavin notices Jimmy's filofax lying on his desk. After Jimmy nearly catches them together, Liam tells Gemma tells Liam it's the only way – unless he wants to come clean.

At the team dinner, Jimmy leaves behind his manager's filofax, which Gavin is about to pocket when Miguel notices. Gavin sneaks out of the Grange, and Miguel and Sean are wise to him. They follow Gavin to the training ground, and storm in on him snapping away at Jimmy's statistic book. Gavin is forced to admit what he's doing for J.F, and Miguel thinks he's come up with the solution - if they themselves make something happen in the match, they can bet on the outcome and win the money back to pay J.F. Miguel reminds Sean of his hamstring, which means he can place the bet. The boys decide to place the bet for over a minute after kick-off, with Gavin and Miguel in place from the start. Troubled by his situation, Liam makes the decision that he must tell Jimmy about his relationship with Gemma. He goes to the house and is stopped by the sound of a smash in the kitchen. Liam and Jimmy find Gemma has broken a plate, claiming she was having trouble remembering. Gemma reveals to Liam that she faked the breakage to stop him telling her dad about them. She tells Liam if it's a choice between them continuing to see each other, or not at all, then their secret is worth it in the end.

As the Unvincibles prepare to put their plan into action, Gavin receives a call from Cindi to say a job has come up at the last minute - at a classy top gambling club, and Gavin is horrified to learn Cindi is at Freddericks! Harchester get the first kick, and Miguel sends it outwide in Simon Becky's direction - way outwide and it ends up in the crowd. The ref is not pleased, and orders the restart of the match, made worse when Gavin wastes the remainder of the first minute arguing with the ref over his decision. When Miguel gets round to retaking his kick (and does the same again), the clock has reached 1:05, and a despairing Sean knows the bet is gone. At Fredderick's meanwhile, Cindi is yapping away to a bemused J.F on how she can't wait to move into their new home, oblivious to the power he is currently holding over her husband. As Cindi gets her pose on, J.F arranges for his heavies to do some “damage”.

Harchester win against Wigan, but Sean still has his head in his hands. Gavin makes a move to rescue Cindi from her shoot, but is relieved to find her waiting for him in reception. An excited Cindi tells Gavin that J.F has even opened an account for her at his casino, but the last thing Gavin will do is let his wife go anywhere near there again. Liam takes Gemma aside to explain how he feels their secret is no longer worth it. She takes it rather well, and says she was expecting it, knowing how Liam is in regards to truth. She says she’ll go and stay with her mom, not clear on when she’ll be back. Miguel, Sean, Gavin and a devastated Cindi return to their respective homes to find all of their possessions trashed, and it finally hits home how deep they are in with J.F.
