The team have arrived in London, and Jimmy addresses them with how there will be a complete media blackout tonight, and requests the players surrender their phones. Sean gets everyone to remove their Sim cards just in case Jimmy felt like checking. Katy calls for Gemma as they had planned drinks with the wives at the Grange, but Gemma needs to get to London. Emma is sitting at the bar, and Katy awkwardly invites her to join them. The topic turns to Gemma’s involvement with a player, and the girls are rattled when Kim recalls how she thought she knew Danny and he was having an affair. Even more so when Katy mentions Gemma was heading to the team hotel in London. Jimmy admits to Liam he wanted to check the phones, but hasn't. Danny slyly suggests to Jimmy that he question each team member until he finds out whether this is true. Emma's car arrives for London and Cindi insists she, Kim and Katy join her, as they are desperate to know one of their men isn't Gemma's lover.

Sully fears his plan has backfired but gets a lifeline when Gemma appears and is hushed into Liam's room. Liam tells Gemma he will admit all to Jimmy after the West Ham game. Sully goes knocking at Jimmy's door to drop the news of Gemma's arrival, and soon Jimmy has all the players out of their rooms as he searches for his daughter. Cindi and Kim trade insults over the possibility of their men cheating on them, as the limo comes to a sudden halt. Kim is not prepared to wait for the driver to fix the problem and goes to find another way of making it to London, with Cindi following for her protection. Jimmy gets to Liam's room last, but doesn't find Gemma there, and realises how he's been behaving. Jason puts Miguel in the Gemma frame for revenge over Emma, and Miguel socks him one. Cindi receives a slap herself from Kim, after she taunts her about how Steve cheating wouldn't be the first time Kim has been traded in for a younger model! It takes Kim to reveal to Cindi how she never thought she'd find someone after Danny left her, before Cindi realises how Kim must have felt. Soon the two women have made up, and attempt to find their way back to the limo.

Jimmy catches Gemma as she is sneaking out of the hotel reception, and Gemma claims she came to tell him face to face that it's not true. Cindi and Kim take refuge from the cold night air in a vacant warm lorry, but when the owner returns and spooks them, Cindi drives the vehicle away in panic! With Harchester’s title chances at stake, Jimmy promises his daughter he will trust what she says from now on. Sully tells Liam how Jimmy has caught up with Gemma, which prompts Liam into confessing how it's he who has been seeing her. Cindi and Kim collect Katy and Emma, and by daylight they have found the hotel. Sully continues in his pursuit to put doubt in Jimmy's mind, and remarks how he saw Gemma two hours before Jimmy found her. Shakey says Jason has concussion from Miguel’s whack and won't be able to play. Still reeling, Jimmy foolishly takes Sully’s advice in questioning each player before the game. When Liam's turn comes, Jimmy immediately turns him away, stating that he trusts him. Liam can take no more though, and tells Jimmy to ask him so he'll get his answer. Liam tries to explain how Jimmy must see how much Gemma means to him if he's willing to risk his place on the team, but Jimmy won't listen and tells Liam to leave the stadium.

The team turn against Liam when he admits to being Gemma's boyfriend, and he is blamed for potentially ruining their chances rather than Dragonslayer. The WAG's arrive at the Upton Park Players’ Lounge, and immediately make a bee-line for Gemma. Their interrogation is halted however, when the police arrive to question them over the stealing of the van. Katy wonders whether they will be able to watch the game at the station as they are escorted from the ground. Surprisingly, Sully turns around and tells Jimmy he should bring Liam back, as he is their best chance of winning and the result is all the fans will remember. Amy and Gemma rush out to stop Liam leaving the ground, and Gemma yells how she told her dad he could trust her and Liam's ruined it all. She tells him after everything he's sacrificed for the team he better go back in and play. The team are against Liam coming back to play, but Jimmy puts his foot down and reminds them he makes the decisions as boss. Harchester win 2-0 in a Tyson/Liam dominated game, and in the dressing room afterwards both Liam and Jimmy express their gratitude to Sully for his role in helping them win.

Notes:

Last appearance of Kim Sullivan (Natasha Symms)

The Best: The You're On Sky Sports snippet, where Gary Newbon (where’s Luke Davenport?!) produces the back cover of tomorrow's Harchester Chronicle, with a mystery themed Whodunit surrounding Gemma's lover in the team. Jimmy and Gemma’s heart to heart, where she reminds him of how he reacted when her first ever boyfriend dumped her, and how he got himself sent off at a match because of it.

Quotes: Miguel to Jason: "You cheated on Katy before, you know... Gemma/Emma, their names are similar!".  Gemma alludes to Jimmy on Dragonslayer’s identity and Liam: “Dragonslayer could be some Scottish(!) housewife for all we know!”

Continuity: References from Kim to Cindi cheating with Ryan (9.10 ‘Tis The Season To Be Jolly) and learning of Danny’s affair with Amy (9.13 Unleash Hell).

Additional Info: With the West Ham game, there are four matches of the 2006-07 season remaining. Gemma’s story of being dumped by 14-year-old Theo Marsh which led to Jimmy being sent off was likely around 2002 at Sheffield Wednesday, as Alex referred to not having seen Jimmy for four years in 10.4 All Good Things…

What Was The Score?: A free kick from Liam in the second half leads to a header from Tyson, followed by a second just minutes later.

Soundtrack: Amy Winehouse: "Back to Black",  Cockney Rejects: "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles",  Damien Rice: "Grey Room",  Dandy Warhols: "Get Off",  Scissor Sisters: "Kissing You Off",  The Go! Team: "Junior Kickstart"
