Chelsea's Dennis Wise had a rocky history with the Dragon’s fans. A foul during a Cup match in the 1995-96 season gave him the penalty which knocked Harchester out of the competition and the event left him less than popular. Aside from Chelsea's home and away fixtures with Harchester in the 1997-98 season, the only other connection Dennis had to the club was that he and Karl Fletcher shared an agent in Eric Hall. Or so he thought!
The HUFC Christmas party saw chairman's daughter Georgina Jacobs arrive with Dennis as her date, which stops Michael Jacobs in the middle of his speech. Michael is furious with his daughter, which is exactly what she wanted (that, and for Dean Hocknell to be jealous) as Dennis treats her like an adult which her father can't seem to do. Later as they slow dance, Jacobs storms over and takes Georgina away from a miffed-looking Dennis, and after several of the youth team perform a Spice Girls drag act, remarks "Weird place, Harchester".
For Chelsea's away fixture to Addison Road in the 1998-99 season, it is mentioned Dennis will not be in the squad due to suspension. In the 2005-06 season, when he is playing for Coventry City, Dennis is in the Dragon’s Lair stands with his young son watching Charlton v Harchester in the FA Cup Quarter Final.
