Dream Team Director Profiles: David Bartlett

 

David Bartlett directed 3 episodes of DT in Season 7.

 

Beginning in acting in his pre-teens in the mid-80's, a decade later he had started his career as a director, with "Watchdog" (6 episodes, 1998-2000). By the 2000's, David was writing many of the projects he was also directing. These included the short "The Goodbye Plane" (2003). 3 episodes of acclaimed drama-documentary "Days That Shook the World", which included the infamous "Grand Heist: The Theft of the Crown Jewels/The Great Train Robbery" featuring the Season 7 Dream Team cast in those roles (2004). And the TV movie "Secrets of the Cross: Trial of the Knights Templar" (2008) alongside directing an episode of "Casualty" in 2007.

 

In the 2010's, David's writing/directing projects featured "Locked Up Abroad" (4 eps, 2011-12 & 18), "Dangerous Persuasions" (2 eps, 2013), "Love the Way You Lie" (2 eps, 2014), "Paranormal Witness" (2 eps, 2015), the mini-series "Race for the White House" (2 eps, 2016), "Forbidden: Dying for Love" (2 eps, 2017) and the multi-award winning short "Mousie" (2019) which earned him a Best Director Jury Prize at the 2021 DISACCORDI International Short Film Festival.
