Bernie White (Ian Bartholomew)		1.3	Journalist who trades information with Mike as the agent attempts to keep Kevin's prospects of going to the World Cup alive. When Mike shares how Harchester's No.1 goal-scorer is leaving for Barcelona, Bernie in return gives Mike how Bruce has been cautioned twice for curb-crawling. Bernie's paper doesn't want to use it just yet as Bruce is the golden boy at Harchester right now, so instead gives it Mike to blackmail the manager.
Charles Glover (John Gunnery)		1.2 - 1.3	Terry's more sympathetic father. A Wolves fan, which gives Ruthie the main reason to travel from their home of Brampton near Barnsley as Harchester face Wolves, rather than because Terry has made the first team.
Clive Hawes (Vincent Brimble)		1.3	Harchester United's Chairman by the pivotal 1985-86 season. Mike attempts to persuade him to pressure Bruce into changing his formation plans around Kevin, to secure his client World Cup selection and a lucrative move to Barcelona. Clive is more concerned however with not upsetting a manager who is months away from possibly winning them the league, as it would make him unpopular with the fans. Works with Bruce until 1990, and then his replacement Steve Tomkin, until selling the club to Michael Jacobs in November 1992.
Consultant (Lucas Hare)		1.3	On duty when Ann has to be operated on during her pregnancy, and the guilty Terry who has just cheated with Susan, yells at him that he doesn't care about the baby only that Ann is OK.
Dave Glover (Actor uncredited)		1.2 - 1.3	Not the Emmerdale character but Terry's older brother. Not as talented in football as his brother so works as a miner. It is his hospitalisation following a beating and his mother's harsh words to Terry that make him re-evaluate his lifestyle and sell his flash car.
Karl Fletcher (aged 8)		1.1	Seen only as an eight-year-old in October 1980, getting under the first team's feet as dad Jonny brings him into the dressing room. Jonny tasks Mike with returning Karl to his mother, and even as a boy Karl has the ambition he later shows, believing he will be the greatest player the club ever had. Goes to live with his mother when she and Jonny divorce.
Mr Maynard (Jonathan Barlow)		1.1	Mike's father, who meets Harry Sidwell as his son joins the youth team. Then accompanies him to Mrs Quinn's house where Mike will be lodging. When he racially discriminates against Kevin, Mrs Quinn sets him firmly that if there's a problem Mike will leave before Kevin does. Owns a car dealership in Chester, where he takes his son on following Mike's career ending, and when expanding to the Midlands, sets Mike up there as he knows the area from his time at Harchester.
Mrs Maynard (Gaynor Barrett)		1.1	Mike's mother, who accompanies him to the club and his new digs when entering Harchester's youth team. Isn't impressed upon first view of Addison Road, remarking it was "Hardly Anfield".
Mrs Quinn (Heather Tobias)		1.1	Digs landlady who, by October 1980 has been housing apprentices for Harchester United for the best part of twenty years. Is a mother-away-from-home to each teenager who lodges under her care, and will fiercely defend them. She and her late husband went to the 1966 World Cup final and at Christmas 1980 she gifts her present lads, Terry, Kevin and Mike with souvenirs from the day. By February 1982, with Kevin just into the reserves it is only he still living with her.
Ruthie Glover (Angela Curran)		1.2 - 1.3	Terry's hard-to-please mother, who doesn't appear too happy her son chose football instead of a job down the pits like his brother, let alone the money Terry makes. When his brother is put in hospital after a beating, Ruthie lays into Terry over how he has forgotten what it's like to live like his family do, which Terry responds with how she has never told him she is proud of him. Ruthie assures him she is as he is her son. She later attends his wedding to Ann and to see him score the winning goal to secure Harchester's first Title win.
Trish Fletcher (Actress uncredited)		1.1	Wife of star striker Jonny and mother to (future) star striker Karl. Attends a charity dinner with her husband at The Grange, where they come across Mike and Terry's girlfriend Susan guiltily leaving a room together. She and Jonny divorce by 1982 and she takes Karl to live in London. In 2004 Fletch mentions her to Gina with how her persistence in getting him to do something reminds him of his mom.
