Signs and Wonders
The pressure cooker that is Harchester United finally explodes when a journalist turns the heat up on Tara. Plus, it's FA Cup Final day and a purified Phil smells victory.
A healer has been brought into the club, and Stuart is going to get his leg healed. It is being filmed for HUTV.
Nikki, who is outside the club, sees a woman snooping around. It's Susan Simons the journalist. Nikki presumes it's the healer and gives her the direction into the club. She gets in the club and finds Abi Fletcher. She tells her that her paper is running a drugs story where Fletcher was found positive and she covered it up. Abi is forces her out, Stuart helps.
The healer is speaking to Phil, but Phil doesn't believe she has power etc. He asks if she can cleanse the club of it's past and she agrees.
Stuart is not happy with Abi that she let him field Fletch when he had cocaine in his blood. Abi explains that the cocaine could have been sweated out, but there are no guarantees. She tells him that Patrick spiked him but this is irrelevant.
Jeff who is still staying at Tash's is depressed after being banned from the club. Tash tells him that she can go to the club to do deals as long as he finds a nanny.
The boys have made their way into the changing room. Stuart tells them that a journalist is sniffing round trying to find information on the drugs test they did. Stuart tells them all to not tell the journalists anything at all.
Nikki and Sandra are both in the offices, as it happens, reading horoscopes. Phil and the healer come in and they have a little bit of a giggle. The healer tells them that they shouldn't believe horoscopes as they are generally rubbish.
Back at The Barons, Jeff tells Tash that the first nanny will be arriving in an hour. They are interrupted by a non stop ring of the doorbell from Clyde. He tells them that Susan Simons is going to print the drugs story. Tash tells him to go home and that she'll sort it out.
At The Grange, Marcel is met in his room by Susan. Marcel tells her to leave. She asks if it was him that tested positive and he says no. She is digging, she now no's somebody did. She tells him that it's Karl and he explains that she'll get nothing out of him. Susan tries it on, when Marcel pushes her away, she practically calls him gay. He is furious and forces her out the room. Tash finds her and tells her that they had a deal. She obviously doesn't care.
The nanny arrives at Tash's, and Jeff is immediately attracted to her.
Meanwhile, Tara is on her way home and again, Susan Simons is waiting for her. They go into the house. While arguing, Nikki comes in. She now knows it wasn't the healer and tells her to get out. Phil is roaming the offices upstairs at the club and decides to look for Stuart. He knocks on his office and walks in to find the room in darkness, candles scattered everywhere and the healer sitting there focusing. She explains that she was just trying to get a feel for the place. She tells Phil that there is a lot of darkness in this room which doesn't surprise the chairman.
Tash is at The Grange, dining with Marcel. She is persuading him to take her up on a deal so her and Jeff can be his agent. She explains that she can get Marcel a lot of photo shoots and ‘A Day In The Life' documentaries but he tells her that he doesn't like that sort of intrusion. Tash notices Jamie with a girl over the other side and looks. When she is looking away, Jamie looks towards her and then kisses his girl. He is obviously trying to get Tash jealous.
It's training and the boys are looking sharp. Marcel though is not listening to the gaffa' who is telling him to sit in the hole. He tells Stuart that he should be picking Curtis as the team are lacking fire power but Stuart tells him that it's his choice.
Meanwhile, Tara is upstairs and trying to get into the managers office for more information to give to the journalist. As she is about to use her card to get in the managers office, Nikki comes by. She goes in locking the door behind her.
The boys are finishing off training and Jamie is having a word with Marcel. He begins to ask him if he had a nice meal with his wife. He is obviously jealous. Marcel then goes to speak to Fletch. He explains that he may have given something away when the journalist was in her room.
As the boys are about to get into the changing room they notice that the healer is inside so they watch, peaking through the door. She is sprinkling something around the room, the boys have a laugh about it, Curtis though is not happy, explaining that this sort of thing does not belong in a football club. He storms off.
Nikki and Sandra are both worried about how Phil has been. Nikki shows Sandra a book of spells she has so they go into the toilets to prepare for the spell. They put a candle on the toilet seat, with five petals around it. They then begin to read out the spell together.
Meanwhile Tara sets up the video recorder in the physio room. She begins filming before Abi even realizes. She starts asking questions on the drug test. Abi tells her to stick to talking about the healing. She tries to get more information but is not successful.
Fletch who is at home, is met by Susan Simons who he invited round. He tells her that if he drops the drug story he will give her an exclusive on his past with the drug, his romps, or anything she wants. She tells him to get her a drink. By the time he turns round to give it to her, she is just in her underwear. She pulls out some cocaine, explaining that he did say anything. He believes that there must be a cameraman in the window or something like that but she tells him that she isn't after a story and she just wants to relive old times. She tells him she'll drop the story if he does. Karl turns her down. Abi comes in, she realizes that he had a relationship with her in the past. She isn't happy.
Tara is drinking at The Grange and once again, Susan Simons comes in. She tells her that she better get something soon because her deadline is tomorrow. Tara tells her that it is impossible. Susan tells her that if she doesn't get anything soon she'll tell the whole world about Tara.
Tara goes off straight away and asks for a word with Stuart. She tells him to meet her later.
Meanwhile, back at The Barons, Tash comes home to hear loud music, and her Dad sitting at the sofa with earphones on. A random man is also walking around with alcohol. Tash is furious asking Jeff what the hell he is playing at. She sends the nanny and the boyfriend packing. Jeff says sorry but Tash tells him that it doesn't cut it. She tells him that something has got to give because he is nearing the end of his tether.
Back at The Grange, Curtis storms off again. Stuart chases him and asks him what he thinks he's doing. Curtis tells the manager that there is no point him being in the meeting as he is not in the squad. He tells Stuart that until they get a proper manager he will not be part of the team. Stuart then goes to see Tara. She puts on the waterworks in front of him. He takes her up to her room. He tells her to get some sleep. As he is about to leave, she makes a move and he falls for her. They end up sleeping together.
Both Nikki and Sandra have finished checking up on everybody. The woman at reception asks them if they still need a room book which has been left empty. They realize it's Phils and as they think he's not coming, take the room themselves. They drink the finest champagne and have a little party.
Phil turns up at The Grange, seeing Curtis. Curtis tells him that he is not playing again this season and at the end of it he is leaving the club. Phil then asks for his key to be told that it is already taken out. He is told that room service has been called by Mrs. Wallis. He goes upstairs to find a drunk Nikki and Sandra. They apologies but they are so drunk they begin laughing. Phil who started by not looking happy actually starts to laugh himself.
A woman arrives at Tash's house, who she believes is the nanny. She actually finds out it is Pilar Hernandez, Marcel Sabatiers agent. She is not happy with Tash trying to steal her client.
It's morning, and Stuart awakes. While he is in the bathroom, Tara goes through his trouser pockets to find his office keys. He then leaves the room to go and see the team. Nikki finds Phil once again and apologizes. Phil asks if she can go and speak to Curtis, so she does and speaks to him saying he should get on with Stuart being his manager.
Tash tells Pilar that she'll be doing her a favour, taking him on. She tells her that she can get him in papers and on TV a lot more than he already is. And all she wants is 40 % of the profit. Pilar asks her if she can only have 30% but Tash is able to bring it up to 35%.
Tara has driven to the club and has rushed upstairs. She uses Stuarts keys to look in his office. At the same time Nikki is going up to the office. Tara, searching manages to find a sheet with the person who failed on it. She sees that it is Karl. Nikki walks in and suddenly realizes what she has been doing with Susan Simons. She tells her that she'll give her another chance if she puts what she has back in the filing cabinet. She then walks out.
Meanwhile, the healer is on the pitch. She asks all the players to form a circle and hold hands. At this moment Curtis appears and asks to join in. Himself and Stuart shake hands.
Upstairs, Tara is photocopying what she has found. Nikki goes down to the pitch and tells Stuart and Phil something. They catch up with Tara and ask her to look through her bag. Nikki tells her that she couldn't trust her. They find Stuart's keys and the paper with the drug tests on. Phil fires her. As she leaves she tells Stuart that she is as good in bed as he is at managing the team. Ryan hears all of this.
The FA Drugs test arrives with Fletchers results on and thankfully, he is negative.
The match takes place and it's the FA Cup Quarter Final. It's Harchester v Liverpool. As the match begins, Tara drives away leaving the club forever. Harchester start the match well, Fletcher gets the first goal and Harchester lead 1-0. The second half begins. Both Sullivan and Sabatier have great shots. It goes 2-0 with Curtis scoring a wonderful goal. Everyone is happy. The healing has worked.
