The team are staying at The Grange the night before they face Tottenham. Curtis has already encountered Jade, whilst her mate Becky is into Phil, though he still has the absent Jacqui on his mind. Later, Nikki witnesses Jade coming out of the lift, upset and her clothing torn. Before kick off, Curtis shows Fletch and Marcel scratches on his chest, which wins him a bet that he slept with Jade. As Patrick gives his team talk, two detectives enter and arrest Curtis on suspicion of rape. Phil confides in Jeff he will have to admit to the police he got off with Becky, especially after Jeff points out the lift where it happened has a camera!

Phil encounters his old friend on the Grange reception, and when the receptionist suggests he could get him the lift tape if paid, Phil offers five hundred. The receptionist tells him it doesn't sound as good as two-thousand! Curtis and Jade give their sides to Butler and Anderson, how she and Curtis got talking when he spilled his drink on her. Jade says she scratched Curtis when he was being rough with her, but Curtis says she did it while enticing him. Curtis says he got cold feet when Nikki did her room check, and told Jade she should go, which she wasn't happy about. Butler interviews the team, where Marcel defends Curtis that the girls were out to pull rich footballers, while Fletch lets slip of his bet to pull Jade, and Ryan reveals Curtis asked him not to return to their room that night.

When Curtis is bailed by Phil, he goes round to Nikki's just as Tara is moving in. Curtis thinks Nikki hasn't spoken up for him because she sees Linton in him, but Nikki saw Jade's clothing was ripped. When the detectives come to speak with Nikki, she is forced to admit she saw Jade, who was upset with torn clothes. In an attempt to shore up support for Curtis, Patrick asks Tara to put together a show for HUTV of Curtis's greatest moments. She gets to work on the tapes, but one she plays shows an old lady in a lift, with Phil’s tape mixed up with the others.

Nikki goes to see Curtis at The Grange and stands in the lift, before realising what the tape Tara had was. They go through it, capturing Phil walking away from Becky before anything more serious happened, which Jacqui just misses seeing! Following which, Jade appears, and her act of tearing her clothes is revealed. At the station, Curtis is charged with Jade's rape. Nikki and Tara show Phil the tape, and while they promise not to tell Jacqui about Becky, they know this will clear Curtis. The charges are dropped, and in the station reception Curtis comes face to face with Jade who has been brought in. He asks her why and she says she was angry at how he threw her out, because she did like him. Curtis is in no mood to forgive, and all he wants to do now is play football.
