So far the sultry bilingual Marem Hernandez has been a Gossard model, dumped a bloke with the help of a Ford hatchback- yes she is the minx who writes 'no' with the help of some tyre's and soft earth. Now as the tough-talking Harchester FC boss, her character Pilar is as hard as nails, power-suited woman. And as if that wasn't enough to complete the fantasy, she also fronts a rock band.
So what are you up to at the moment? I'm going to star in a film called Reunion. I've got a supporting role; it's a psychological thriller. It's not my first role, though - I was in Tomb Raider, but they edited me out.
They must be fools! I know! (laughing) The Ford Focus ads were great fun. I wasn't very glamorous in the Glossard ad; I was the goofy one! I'm screaming and my face is all distorted.
What don't you like about your appearance? Oh God! Well I get afro hair. When I sweat or it rains, it goes all kinky. I remember going out one evening, really dressed up and glamorous; everyone saying how nice I looked. But then during the evening the compliments suddenly started drying up. I went to the bathroom to have a look at myself and because I'd been dancing, I'd perspired and my hair had gone all afro!
Presumably your character in Reunion won't be "goofy" or a ball-breaking football manager? Its a very different character to Pilar. I can't say much more than that, though It's a cool script.
Different, how? Well Pilar is quite repressed, whereas my character in the film will have more demons, more happening on the inside.
What is it like playing such a bitch in Dream Team? It's a great role. I really stretch it and go overboard - sometimes too far! But at the end of filming, I leave her on set.
We also hear your in a rock band? Yeah, its really exciting. The band is called Vertigo and we have just finished an album, and got a management deal sorted out. Our sound's a bit like Alanis Morissette meets Eurythmics! I really love writing lyrics, I think it helps keep me on the grounded and sane.
Aren't you bothered about the whole telly-star-goes-pop thing? Well, I've already got tattoos, so I suppose I'm a cliché already!
Tell us more... where are they? Well, there's a sun on my belly button, a cat on my shoulder and a 'chi' energy symbol on my ankle.
So, what do the cast of Dream Team think of their boss fronting a rock group? I did a little gig recently and invited them all down - they were shell-shocked, I play a hardcore businesswoman, so they were totally shocked to see this rock chick throwing herself around.
