DT Locations: Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium (1923), now known as the old Wembley, in North-West London, featured in 2 episodes of DT in Season 2. Its appearances came with Harchester United reaching the FA Cup final, which was hosted by the stadium annually since its opening.

The team visit the ground in the days preceding their showdown with Manchester United. With player-manager Luis walking away after recent events, assistant Frank leads the tour, with his experience of having played at Wembley in the Milk Cup Final with Oxford United. Sean is the only other in the team with Wembley experience himself, for the Under 15's against Scotland, and the apprehensive lads are given a mighty boost when he appears having brought Luis down in his car. Luis addresses the team that they will finish what they started.

On the day, Andy Gray and Richard Keys are set up in the press room for Sky Sports. John believes his legs will be better if he has the absent Leon beside him, and Frank sets about sorting it. Alex reacts badly to Leon being brought back and Luis drops him, ending his time at Harchester. In the first half, Luis goes down after a challenge by Sheringham, and at half time an ostracised Ian enters the dressing room and holds a broken bottle to Luis's throat, talked down by oldest friends Frank and John.

Into the second half, Lynda breaks and accuses Jerry of knowing all along that she has been in an affair with Luis, but he plays it cool and says he had no idea. Equalising with goals from Luis and Ronny Johnsen, Luis puts the Dragons ahead with four minutes to go, and Harchester are victorious. As the team parade the trophy down the concourse and onto the pitch, Jerry's assassin, Mr. MacKinley is in place behind the scoreboard waiting for a clear shot of Luis. At that moment, Jerry and Lynda are pitchside to celebrate with the team, and MacKinley shoots... as Lynda comes into shot! Hero John Black is the life lost while shielding Lynda.

Wembley Stadium closed in October 2000, and while its new stadium was being constructed on the same site, Harchester's next reached finals, the 2005 Championship play off, and, the following season, the League Cup final and their next FA Cup win, take place at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
