October 2003 After starting as a production
assistant on the mini-series "Karaoke" (4 episodes, 1996), she was
an FT2 (Film and Television Freelance Training) on the films "True Blue"
(1996), "Fierce Creatures" and "My Son the Fanatic" (both
1997). This was followed as editor's assistant on the TV movie "Cold
Enough for Snow" (1997). A long stint with "Coronation
Street" followed, beginning as story associate between 1997-99, and then
story editor from 1999-2000. From this, Mariam
joined the writing team, and wrote 23 episodes across the next two years. Joining the writing team of "Hollyoaks", she penned 26 episodes between 2004-07. |
