Signing Harchester had their eye on for some time, with Phil Wallis suceeding with a £10M bid to Real Madrid. Doyle however knows Roberto's knee is recovering and needs to be rested for a couple of weeks, but allows him to train in order to keep his bet running smoothly. It pays off, and at Roberto's first training session, he snaps his Cruciate ligament, ultimately ending his career. In an interview with Tara Roberto blames Patrick for making him play, which Jacqui hides from Phil. Roberto also brings about the barring of Jeff as an agent later in the season over Real Madrid only receiving £8M of the fee paid from Harchester.

They also go home with Marcel's body knowing that Abi was his real love in the end.
