Introducing Mr. Campbell

GS: Tony Franks (Neal Barry)  Terry Harrison (Tony Selby)  Barmaid (Lynsey Pow)  Reporter (Danny Tennant)  Steve Tilson (as himself)

With the transfer window closing on Monday, Tony informs Jimmy that Steve Tilson would be willing to come down in his price for Sean Campbell if Sully was thrown into the deal. Jimmy adds he’s decided to put Jason on loan to MK Dons, which surprises Tony, especially as he hasn't even told Jason of his plans. Jason spills to Tyson about what happened with Emma the night in London, and Tyson says he'll do some checking around to see if it's going to come out. Jason is stunned when Jimmy informs him of his planned loan move, and repeats he is a Dragon ‘til he dies. Sully too, is unhappy, and argues that Harchester needs him, to which Jimmy harshly replies that it's Danny who needs Harchester. Sully is determined to plead his case to Harrison, who is sympathetic and tells Danny he'll speak with Jimmy, with Sully now convinced his position is saved. As soon as Terry sees the footage of Sean's talents he is all set for him to come, but brings up Sully’s concerns. Jimmy states Southend are desperate to have Sully, and that whilst his value is just going to decease, Sean's will constantly rise.

While Jason believes Jimmy's decision is down to his current worries over Gemma, Katy goes to confront Jimmy about the real reason. Jimmy sticks to his guns that Jason is going because he needs the match experience, and adds what happened between the two of them is already forgotten. Jimmy is not pleased, when giving Sean a tour of the training complex he finds Sully has left Tony waiting with Steve Tilson at the club. Steve tells Danny how they could really use his experience in midfield, especially with the particularly young side they have. Danny is sullenly forced to agree. Tyson gets back to Jason and to his relief, learns he is safe regarding Emma. Having heard of Jason and Katy's engagement, and feeling low over Rachel's betrayal, Jimmy drinks alone in the Blue Room with only the barmaid for company. Jason tells Jimmy how much he appreciates everything he has done for both he and Katy. He adds that he will even look past Jimmy putting him on loan to MK Dons, to which Katy points out how unfair it is that he is doing this to Jason.

Harchester face Portsmouth at the Lair, and Sully comes to wish the boys luck, believing he has played his last game for the club. At half time, Kim makes her move reminding Danny that as she and the kids won't be moving to Southend, he will buy them a house in London, warning otherwise she will have to go and live with her mother in Plymouth, six hours drive away! A reporter for Harchester.net approaches Sully wanting to do an interview regarding his move, and he sees an opportunity to stall his transfer at the last minute. As the second half gets underway, Sully launches an attack on the management and agents who are forcing him to leave the club he loves, all for the sake of money. Jason’s goal wins the game, and Harrison is not impressed when Jimmy informs him he still intends to put Jason on loan, reminding him who makes the final decision on these things. A low Jimmy makes his way to where his favourite barmaid is serving. Jimmy gets it on with the barmaid, and takes her upstairs but backs out of taking things further. Amy gets what she was expecting when paper arrives, and Sully’s verbal attack is splashed across the back page.

When meeting Tony, Jimmy learns there is more, and that Sully went for secret talks with the New York Red Bulls behind all their backs. Jimmy gives Amy the ultimatum of issuing the Red Bulls photos to the press to ruin Sully. When confronted with the photos, Danny tells Amy he saw the Red Bulls after screwing up with Kim before, and couldn't face being in Harchester and not having Amy. Sully reaches a compromise with Jimmy, saying he will make an official statement to the press apologizing, and following that will go to Southend providing it can at least be on loan to begin with. Jimmy visits Gemma, and shares his feelings on how he nearly destroyed Jason over his encounter with Katy. He reveals that he and Rachel were never as affectionate as Jason and Katy are, and tells his daughter he just wants her to wake up. Following this, Jimmy goes to Jason's house and tells him he won't be sending him away. Sully says his final goodbyes to the lads in the training ground dressing room, before returning to the Lair to sit and think, before Amy comes out with Sean for his unveiling to the press. Danny discusses his new status of Dragon-to-Shrimper with her, before he heads home, and out of the Lair for the last time as a player.

What Was The Score?: During the first half, Durant Thomas goes down injured and is replaced by Jason, who gets a good shot but misses. He corrects this in the second half with a sensational goal which wins the Portsmouth match 1-0.
