By the start of the 2006-07 season, Atlético Madrid, the club of Tony Franks's most valuable client, Miguel Lopez had run out of patience with the star striker. His reputation for disobedience towards managers and disrupting training sessions had reached the point that no top flight European club wanted him. Tony knew Miguel's best chance was with FA Cup holders Harchester United, where old contact Lynda Block was chief exec. Miguel would consider Harchester a come down, and wanting a loan deal at the least, is far from happy to know the move is a sale, and when no London clubs come through, Tony makes him face facts.
Miguel's signing means Tony is based more in Harchester, and although missing out on the Pavel Kovac deal to his nemesis Chloe Tyler, her departure provides Tony the opportunity to represent half of the Harchester team. Used to handling the sponsorship deals of his clients, Tony is faced with the new-world PR task of turning Gavin and wife Cindi into Brand Moody. Cindi is centre spread on an FHM feature on Footballers' Christmases, but when Tony learns Cindi hasn't OK'd it with Gavin over potentially risky photos, he worries this could jeopardise his future of representing him. And when new signing Jason Porter is offered the chance to be the face of a car dealership, Tony manages to wager him a better deal and is taken on as his agent.
In the January transfer window, Miguel rejects a £15M move to Valencia after becoming involved with a woman called Silver. Tony has a vague recognition of Silver and digs up that she is Debbie Cartwright, a former Page 3 girl who also worked as an escort. Tony hands Silver a cheque for £10,000 to disappear so the Valencia deal can go through. Miguel sides with Silver and fires Tony, but when Silver is willing to convince Miguel to go to Valencia providing Tony triples his previous offer, Miguel catches her red handed. With Miguel staying, Sully’s planned move to Fulham can not go ahead, and Tony informs Jimmy that Steve Tilson would be willing to come down in his price for Sean Campbell if Sully was thrown into the deal. Michelle Campbell visits her son over the £150K Sean promised to help her set up her own salon, but not having the money after a wild gambling binge knows he'll have to approach Tony. When Tony learns Michelle, who he goes way back with, is in Harchester he agrees to cough up half of the money.
Tony puts the idea into Jason’s head about getting his contract sorted for next season, this time raising his pay to at least £25K, which puts both he and Tony in Jimmy's bad books. Jason yells at Tony about how he was kicked out of training and wants to get his place back in the team. When a video of Jimmy taking out Tony's demands on Jason is put online by unknown antagonist Dragonslayer, Jimmy accuses Tony of being behind it all, and bans him from the club until the end of the season.
