Preparations are underway for Lynda's wedding to Sam, only she is preoccupied with the team's arrangements for Amsterdam. Patrick believes Monday's ankle was gone after the home leg of the Moscow game, and won't be able to use him for the final. Danny is spooked when Hankin asks what was behind his dad's comment that he is about as Irish as Monday Bandele?

Fletch walks Lynda down the aisle, while Claudia is also acting as her dad's best man. Lynda says she does when asked if she takes Sam to be her husband. When it comes to Sam answering the question, all he can see is the vision of Fletch and Lynda in the dressing room, and responds with "Actually… I don't!". Lynda thinks he is fooling around, and the gathered guests start to look uncomfortable. Sam tells Lynda he doesn't want her to be his wife, informing her how he knows all about "Loverboy" standing with them. Sam takes the wedding rings from Claudia and forces them into Fletch's hand, adding he hopes the two will be very happy. Lynda chases after Sam where he tells her he saw her kissing Fletch. Lynda admits she slept with Fletch once and the kiss he saw was a goodbye kiss, but when Sam asks her to look him in the eye and tell him she has no feelings for Fletch, Lynda can't. Sam orders Lynda to get out of his life and out of his club.

Tash and Danny know they have to get hold of Joe’s tape before Hankin does. Tash gets into Taylor's room and hides when he comes in, leaving his briefcase open with the tape visible. Tash snatches the tape but Taylor sees her and chases her down The Grange corridor wearing only his towel. Tash stops two women and fakes contractions so they take her away from Taylor. However, Joe swipes the tape Tash placed down in the commotion. Sam is impressed when Claudia handles the press's questions on today's events, and she announces Lynda has decided to leave the club. Fletch goes to Lynda at her house and asks her to marry him.

Tash realises Joe was at the scene and is going to sell the tape to Hankin. They go to Joe's room where Tash lays into him that he is the only father Danny has ever known, to which Joe concedes he never meant it to go this far and Hankin already has the tape but hasn't paid him. Lynda sleeps with Fletch, but leaves him to see the team one last time. Lynda goes into Sam and explains she didn't love him in the way he needs to be loved, but she thought it might come at some stage, which they'll now never know. Sam is left feeling he gave up on Lynda too soon. Lynda stops to tell Claudia she has made her father as bitter as she is.

Sam asks Claudia to sit in his chair behind his desk, and she is confused. He tells her it was like it was made for her... and the club is hers! Claudia is overjoyed at having got what she always wanted. As the team board the coach, Hankin reveals tomorrow's Chronicle front page cover "Rawsthorne Dupes Ireland" to which Danny tears up the page. The coach pulls off, as Lynda heads for the airport, planning to flee the country. Outside The Lair, Tash is overcome with pain - her baby is coming early. Gemma and Monday sit with her as Monday attempts to call Jamie on the coach... but before he can tell him about Tash the line goes dead.

Lynda is about to head for her flight when news breaks through on Sky Sports that the Harchester team coach has crashed on the M1. Lynda is frozen to the spot as David Jones reports details that the coach came off the road and down the embankment where emergency services are trying to free people from the wreckage. He is cut off in his words by an explosion from the coach, as Lynda watches and cries.

Quotes: Patrick gives his hot take on Lynda’s status: "And as for this stupid wedding this afternoon... well I hope they make the most of their wedding night because from what I'm hearing Lynda's going to be sending her thank you cards from Holloway!".  Sam delivers his own (verbal) killer blow on Lynda (to Fletch): "Oh, word of advice though... she is a murdering two-timing slut and she's not even very good in bed but you already knew that didn't you?!".

Foreshadowing: Notably Claudia and Danny’s fates being referenced: Claudia's “Over my dead body” regarding the wedding going ahead. Regarding her bouquet to The Grange attendant: "Maybe you could find a grave to put it on". Lynda's parting shot of “Good luck Claudia".
