Angie could have been known as Lynda Block's dependable sister, far more outgoing and reliable than the self-serving Maxine. Lynda married Jerry, a wealthy businessman who later bought Harchester United football club. When Lynda began an affair, and planned to flee with superstar striker Luis Amor Rodriguez, Jerry arranged to have him killed - shot at the Wembley FA Cup Final. Lynda however, was caught in the crossfire and injured in the head, during the time Angie was pregnant with her son. When Lynda fears Jerry's dodgy dealings were what got her shot, on top of his controlling behaviour of her, Lynda escapes to Manchester and Angie, bringing a teddy bear for her new nephew. She confides in Angie about Luis, not knowing if there's a future between them, and decides she will return to Harchester, but to The Grange, not Jerry.
Lynda eventually takes over from Jerry as the chairwoman of Harchester, but a combination of becoming the target of ruthless businessman Prashant Dattani, and the loss of she and Ray Wyatt's baby, leads an emotionally desperate Lynda to lash out at Prash with a trophy, causing his death. Lynda faces the music, and cops a six-year sentence, but a year in gives birth to she and Karl Fletcher's son, Louis. At first, Lynda gives Louis to Karl, who is then looked after by his wife Abi when Karl has to play in Saudi Arabia. But the breakdown of their marriage sees Louis back with Lynda at the prison, until she turns to the one person she has left to rely on, Angie. Angie agrees to take Louis while Lynda completes the rest of her sentence, and when Fletch meets with Angie at the Christmas of his return to Harchester, he realises his son doesn't know him at all when he calls Angie's husband "Daddy".
Lynda is able to be released half way through her sentence, and Angie is the first person to meet her from the prison. The sisters originally plan for her to return to Manchester and live near them, but when the Harchester United coach explodes on the night Lynda knows she needs to be there for her team. Later, when Felix Hahn, the Dragon's new manager offers her the Chief Executive role at the club once more, Lynda is apprehensive, but knows she still needs Harchester as much as it needs her. Louis stays with Angie, and Lynda misses her son greatly, especially when the job gets her down. Amy Kerrigan organises a surprise visit from Angie and Louis, and Lynda realises how coming to Harchester ultimately gave her Louis in her life. When Lynda falls pregnant with her second child, the stress of a police investigation into Casper Rose’s death puts this baby's life in danger, and Lynda knows her children must come before the club, so she returns to a quieter life in Manchester with her family around her.
