Also attending is Emma Collison, who while Miguel pursues Vanessa sets her sights on Jason, the relatively new star in the team. Emma is intrigued by Jason's story of going from the Tyre Bay to the Premiership, while he is flattered at a model showing an interest in him. After getting drunk, and accepting Emma's offer of ecstasy, Jason sleeps with her, only to immediately regret what he has done but is relieved when nothing comes out in the papers. The hard partying lifestyle catches up with Emma, with the modelling work drying up and her owing thousands in debt. Knowing he'd have the money, Emma pays Jason a visit, asking for ten thousand pounds. Jason has been dragged into Miguel's mess, after the boys watched their own debt collector J.F. choke to death on chewing gum, and Jason says if Katy finds out about he and Emma it could jeopardise their alibi further. This makes the guys agree to help Jason with the money to send Emma on her way. When Katy is under the impression Jason owes gambling money to Emma's boss, Miguel tells Jason he will see Emma off for him. But soon enough Miguel and Emma fall into bed together, and Miguel makes a deal that if he pays her debts Emma in return will keep quiet about sleeping with Jason. When Jason confronts Miguel about having Emma move in with him next door, Miguel reveals he’s holding onto her as a form of collateral just in case Jason ever decides to change his mind about the alibi. As Harchester face West Ham at Upton Park, the girls join Emma in her car to London as they fear one of their man could be Gemma Craig's mystery lover revealed by Dragonslayer. Katy has full trust in Jason however, and she and Emma get to know each other better on the trip. When the investigation into J.F's death is ruled an accident, Miguel hands Emma her cheque to leave, and she is hurt that he still only sees her as a business arrangement which has now come to an end. Unsuspecting Katy invites Emma to stay at hers until the wedding, and at her Hen Party a bitter Emma announces she's not only had Miguel and Sean in the team, but also Jason! Katy is still in the dark, and when Emma tries to leave before the wedding, insists she wants her there. At the church Jason tells Katy she shouldn't be marrying him, and that he slept with someone else. The guilt gets to Emma, and she runs out of the church giving Katy her answer on the guilty culprit’s identity.
