He visits Conor later in the season, where he puts pressure on his "next Georgie Best" son over his lack of promised contract with the first team. Not to mention how he and Conor's uncle have bought a pub in London, borrowing £25K which they plan on paying back with Conor's signing on fee! So of course Mr McCarthy receives a shock when Frank makes it clear Conor will be judged with the rest of his team mates on receiving a pro contract... or not!
