Tim Murrell was DT's editor from Seasons 1-3, and returned to direct 3 episodes in Seasons 6-7.

 

Following his first stint on the show, he edited Hewland/ITV's "Daylight Robbery" in its first series (3 episodes, 1999), and has gone on to edit further TV and drama such as "Hero to Zero" (6 eps, 2000), "Down to Earth" (6 eps, 2000-01), "Teachers" (3 eps, 2001), fellow football drama "Playing the Field" (7 eps, 2000-02), "Wire in the Blood" (2 eps, 2005-06), "Father & Son" (4 eps, 2009), "Any Human Heart" (4 eps, 2010), "Strike Back" (7 eps, 2011-15), "Da Vinci's Demons" (6 eps, 2013-14), "Medici" (4 eps, 2016), "The Last Kingdom" (2 eps, 2017), "Patrick Melrose" (5 eps, 2018), "Your Honor" (3 eps, 2020), "A Gentleman in Moscow" (2 eps, 2024) and "Young Sherlock" (5 eps, 2026).

 

Tim's film editing credits include "Middletown" (2006), "Clapham Junction" (2007), "The Children" (also second unit director, 2008), "StreetDance 3D" (2010) and its 2012 sequel, "Roald Dahl's Esio Trot" (2015), "21 Bridges" (2019), "Monkey Man" (2024) and "Dead of Winter" (2025).
