It’s the day of the appeal of Harchester's six point deduction. Jeff thinks he is helping Tash for her business by giving evidence, but Jamie, working for Patrick, encourages him to do a runner. In front of the committee, Phil has to admit Jeff made up the scouting operation story. Jeff decides to stay, and on his turn takes responsibility for deceiving the panel at the first hearing. Jeff asks them not to punish the club for his actions, for this affects a whole town of supporters. The committee decide to only deduct three points, which the gathered team celebrate, all except Jamie while Jeff is banned as an agent for life.

Curtis tries to explain his meeting with Doyle to Fletch as he discussing a transfer deal without the lads knowing. Nikki takes "the Bull by the horns" when alone in the offices with Phil, and wears a long coat with nothing on underneath! The problem is, Phil can only see Jacqui doing the same in front of him and runs out. When Doyle appears at the Grange, Phil flies at him like a madman in front of the team, and gives him a bloody nose and Jamie a cut lip.

Planning on resigning following her encounter with Phil, Nikki offers her house to Jennifer who is looking for her own place. Nikki is left feeling even worse when Curtis lets her in on how to find his form again he needs to "score to score" and refuses to sleep with him! Phil gets Nikki's letter just as the team are leaving for White Hart Lane. When Jamie wants to back out of the bet, Patrick sees that a heavy visits Linzie while Tash is at the game. The heavy talks Linzie into getting into his car with Hope, saying Jamie has arranged it as a surprise.

Phil calls Nikki outside, where it is his turn to strip naked, only he is on the freezing cold pitch! Phil assures Nikki that he likes her and asks her to withdraw her resignation. As they win, Patrick enters the away dressing room to tell Jamie there's a surprise waiting for him outside. Curtis wonders whether he will get his form back, after Fletch tells him he knows Curtis isn't throwing games after today. Jamie is shocked at the sight of the heavy holding Hope, and sees he has a gun in his holster. The heavy warns Jamie to take care of her. Phil and Nikki make out at his house, but are stopped in their tracks when Jacqui walks in and stands before them.
