Jerry is furious when Luis tells him the Real Madrid deal is off, and he cannot make him go. Jerry does take on board Luis's stance that the team is not ready for the next UEFA round with Rangers, and the club can't jeopardise losing money there with a loss, so asks Marilyn to get it postponed. During training, Marilyn approaches Luis, wanting advice on how best to approach UEFA on postponing the match. Luis suggests she try the club secretary, Roger Frost.

With the help of Sandra Marilyn eventually gets the "busy" Mr Frost to come and see her at her office. Roger is not pleased at being detained from the editor of the Chronicle to assist Marilyn in her efforts. After a phone call, Roger says Rangers have agreed to a fortnight's postponement provided UEFA agrees, though away from the sympathies they know UEFA won't. As the session continues, Billy has a scrap with Eddie and then storms off. At lunch, Zena brings Dave to see Wes, and he is thrilled to see his mate from London who has brought his things up.

Luis looks for Billy, but he has already sprinted back to his flat. The phone rings and he hears Leon's voice on the answer machine. Wes gives Dave a tour of the stadium, including the individual spa baths inside the dressing room. Dave is proud and believes Wes has landed on his feet, but can tell Wes is feeling anxious being in the big league. Marilyn gets her reply back and is told that since Harchester fielded a team against Chelsea two days after the crash they consider the team to be able to face Rangers now.

Eddie rocks up at Billy’s with Franco Rossi and Dion Osbourne, and Billy wants to make amends for training today. Michael meets with Ann at the airport as she's been away, and she tells him she's got a meeting to get Jackie McNamara on her books. Michael is dismayed that she's looking for clients in Glasgow, when she's supposed to be settling with him in the Midlands. When Luis learns Marilyn is also going to be living at The Grange, he invites her to dinner with him. Marilyn explains to Luis what she'll be doing at the club, and adds in order to do her job effectively she'd like to know why Jerry dislikes him so much?

At Billy's, Eddie tactlessly remarks on how his nice gaff must be costing him now he's got to make up for Leon's rent! Eddie then mentions he's looking for a place himself and goes to check out Leon's room! Marilyn says she understands Wes is unable to play in the Rangers game, and Luis confirms this, adding with Sean gone he could've used another goal scorer. Marilyn adds UEFA owe them something after refusing the postponement, so she could try and get Wes included.

When Eddie comes back in with Leon's new boots and says he should have them rather than be chucked, Dion adds that he wouldn't go near "dead man's boots". Billy flips, and accuses them of picking over Leon's things like birds on a rubbish dump, when what's left of his whole life is in those boxes. Billy screams at them to get out, before crying over the boots back in their box.

To bump up your meagre wages?”  Zena: "Excuse me Wesley"  Wes: "Wesley?! Yeah only my mom calls me that!"

Continuity: Luis tells Wes of how when he first moved into The Grange it was only until he got his own place. And how a year later he is still here.

·          Additional Info: Marilyn wants to carry on fighting, but Roger informs her of how Hearts appealed and lost a UEFA decision and had to fork out ten grand for the hearing.
