Just The Ticket

If the FA rules against Harchester, the Dragons will be relegated from the Premiership. With morale at an all time low, Phil takes an all-or-nothing gamble which could mean the end to his career at United... or Fletch's.

Harchester are forced to choose between their last two fixtures, they either play the FA Cup Final or their final league game against Everton. For the team there was no choice to be made, they needed to play the final game of the season in order to stay in the Premiership.

Jamie's funeral takes place with moving speeches from Phil and Fletch. Fletch dedicates the game and staying in the Premiership for Jamie. After the funeral Phil decides to be honest with Fletch, if the team are relegated they can longer afford Fletch, he will have to leave the club, but if they stay in the Premiership- Phil would be the one to leave as he has had enough. Nerves kick in and Fletch injures himself when trying a bit of extra training.

Meanwhile Abi receives the news that she can no longer have children due to the injuries she received from the shooting. On her return home she receives a phone call from Lynda Block in prison. Very curious as to why Lynda is calling, Abi goes to visit her in prison where she discovers that Lynda has been pregnant with Fletch's child, they have a boy called Louie. Lynda asks if the pair will look after him.

Phil bails Patrick out of Jail and takes him back to his house in an attempt to make him realise what he has done. Patrick manages to have a quick word with Jacqui and he pleads with her to help him escape- he needs money and a car for which she needs to sell her necklace. Jacqui hides the money and keys in a bag in Nikki's desk draw. As Patrick prepares to leave Phil's house he is caught. Phil realises that it was Jacqui who helped him and he demands the money back.

Ryan who is desperate to get hold of tickets for the game to give to the man who is selling them on, distracts Nikki and a mix up with brown paper bags sees Ryan 50 thousand pounds richer and when Phil, Jacqui and Patrick look in Nikki's desk draw for the money, all they find is a bag of match tickets!

The day of the final game finally arrives. Stuart drops Fletch from the game after he fails a fitness test, and to add to his misery Abi tells Fletch that she can't have children but Lynda already has his and also that she does not think they have a future together. In an attempt to find out the truth he goes to visit Lynda in prison and meets his son for the first time. He later returns to the club to try and fix things with Abi.

Two men hired by the syndicate who are behind Patrick's bet gain access to the club as security guards and have guns. After a nail-biting game Harchester win 1-0 and remain in the Premiership, and Patrick is found shot dead in the toilets.Fletch is given a new contract for a further 3 years at the club.

Phil announces that he is going to give away control of the club in a raffle that was originally for a seat for life in the stands. One very lucky fan is handed full ownership of the club as the players, staff and fans of Harchester look on in amazement. Phil walks away from the club with his head held high, he's a free man....
