DT Locations: Ibrox Stadium and Glasgow

Ibrox Stadium, the home of Rangers F.C, in Glasgow featured in 1 episode in Season 3 of DT in October 1999.

Harchester's Second Round First Leg of the UEFA Cup was the first time the team were to fly following the plane crash a few weeks earlier, and were missing Billy O'Neill who was serving a suspension from the First Round. A first half goal from Michael Mols is ruled off-side, where Lorenzo Amoruso succeeds with five minutes to go. Harchester play with a good resurgence, a pass from Paul Linger leads to Scott hitting the bar, while a shot from Eddie leaves the teams almost level, but it ends with Rangers with the lead. To take their minds off their men (Michael and Luis), Lynda and Ann skip the game to see the sights of Glasgow, and are charmed by two Celtic fans at the Rogano restaurant who join them in hoping for a Harchester win! A fortnight later and Rangers are at the Lair for the Second Leg, where goals from Luis, Billy and Wes see Harchester through to the third round.

There are two further visits to Ibrox as Harchester face Rangers in UEFA Cup Second Rounds, but these are off-screen and we only see the Second Legs of each at the Lair. The first leg in the 2001-02 season, sees the teams draw 0-0 at Ibrox, while at the second, Danny Rawsthorne scores ten minutes in, equalized by Russell Latapy on the cusp of half time. Fletch takes the score to 2-1 and Rangers are out by Harchester for the second time.

Five seasons later in 2006-07 the UEFA first leg at Ibrox ends 1-1 against Rangers, with a goal from Gavin. The second leg at the Lair sees the teams drawing 1-1 at half time, goals from William-Laurent Dioup and Rangers' Nacho Novo. In the second half, following a second goal from Novo, Dioup is brought down and a penalty awarded which Danny Sullivan puts in, though this time Rangers change the outcome and are the ones to progress through.

Rangers's UEFA Rounds in 1999 and 2001 take place under Dick Advocaat's time as manager (June 1998 - December 2001), while their 2006 Round is with Paul Le Guen (May 2006 - January 2007).

Further Harchester connections to Rangers and Glasgow are Al Mackay, who finished his playing career with the club, meeting wife Isabelle during this time. While both Lizzie Conlon and Liam MacKay's hometown was Glasgow, Liam mentioning how relatives were coming down to watch him play in the 06 FA Cup Final.
