Ann arrives at the team's hotel in Glasgow, and before long she and Michael are having another argument over her job commitments, which Wes who is rooming with Michael has to listen to. Luis is not happy when Marilyn tells him the police want the team at the ground three hours before the game, and wonders will there always be fear they're bringing a gunman with them each time they travel. Billy hasn't travelled to At Ibrox Ann and Marilyn are introduced, where Ann congratulates her on being a female MD, but to prepare for the slack Karren Brady got. Marilyn jokes it has its advantages with fancying the players, but Lynda and Ann think of their own experiences! Lynda describes how, in the case of her "friend", she was prepared to give everything up for a footballer, but as soon as she got sick she was completely dropped. When the two men ask Lynda and Ann their plans, they are told the girls are married to rich and jealous(!) men, and Lynda is recognised as the woman who was shot at Wembley. The men bid them goodbye, and the girls laugh about being chatted up by younger men. The full time whistle goes and as Harchester reflect in the dressing room, Michael blames himself for the loss, while Luis assures him they were good to concede only one goal. When Ray informs Michael Ann is upstairs, Michael makes it clear he doesn't want to see her.
