Outside the Dragon's Lair, the team's bags are being searched before they fly to Glasgow. Ann and Eddie witness Scott loudly chucking a blonde out of his car (who yells he can keep his money!), before Ann mentions she is off to a meeting at Southampton F.C. Wes asks Ray about whether they'll get some time off from training tomorrow as Dave is coming up to Glasgow and he wants to spend some time with him. Ray is irritated by this, and questions Wes shouldn't he be spending his time with his team mates? Wes replies he sees them all the time, but Ray knows it is Dave he is seeing more of!

Jerry can't believe it when Lynda lays down the law, and adds with a dig to Jerry that she's certainly well enough to attend a club dinner. Before they train, Luis asks Michael to especially look out for Billy, being the first time he's flown since Leon was killed, and Ray adds for him to do the same for Wes, having no Premiership experience. Marilyn is being interviewed by a reporter from the Harchester Chronicle, who wants to make a story out of Marilyn spending so much time abroad with Jerry. Marilyn points out he's an excellent boss and she's great friends with he... and his wife Lynda! Ann arrives late to The Dell where she is introduced to Matt Le Tissier, before dropping her papers in front of he and his agent Jerome Anderson.

During formation, Scott is not happy that he has been moved in deeper so Wes can partner Luis, while Eddie gets the great news that he will be starting. After Marilyn escapes a sexist photoshoot with the reporter, she finds Lynda waiting and the two go to a new boutique to choose clothes for Glasgow. Ray spots a stressed-looking Billy sitting on his own and talks to him about organising some councilling for after the Rangers game. Billy reacts badly, and yells at Ray he'd be fine if he was playing tomorrow. Matt Le Tissier gives Ann a good luck message for Michael for tomorrow.

Wes thinks he has Scott under control until Scott tells him he himself is only playing in the hole because "Pinky and Perky" (Luis and Ray) don't think Wes can cut it. Scott unnerves Wes by suggesting he go and ask Michael, who agrees with him. When Wes goes straight to question Michael Scott knows he has him exactly where he wants. Ray encounters Dave, and decides to tell him a story. He tells him of how he did his apprenticeship at Crystal Palace with a lad from Solihull, who after training used to jump in his car to go to Birmingham to see his mates. He never made any mates at the club, he had mates of his own. Ray wonders whatever happened to him. His plan gets through to Dave, who looks mournful.

Lynda makes it clear to Jerry that she will be going to Glasgow and leading a normal life again, and assures him that she won't be running off with Luis as it's over and Marilyn is welcome to him. Wes catches up with Dave, who with Ray's words still ringing in his ears says something has come up with work so he can't come. Wes says he can't believe this, on top of believing Scott Lucas's snipes, and walks away as all Dave can do is yell after him he'd be there if he could. On the coach, Dion throws up, and sitting next to him, Billy thinks he is Leon before having a full on panic attack, hyperventilating. At the same time, Wes realises his shin pads are missing, having unassumingly placed them on Dave's car before he drove off.

Wes gets off the coach and Ray follows, with Wes snapping that he wouldn't be freezing like Ray thinks he does if he had his own shinpads. Michael returns, and Luis and Ray are incenced to hear he was off looking for Ann to give her her ticket. Luis reminds him he was supposed to be here to support the lads as they faced this traumatic experience of flying again, while Ray furiously makes Michael squirm over what he told Scott regarding Wes's form. After a double bollocking, Ann appears, and is shocked when Michael angrily tears up her ticket in her face.

Notes:

The Best: Lynda, back to her best, shimmies past Jerry and proudly announces she has fired Penny the nurse. Ray, in a cruel-to-be-kind, greater good moment, putting an end to the clingy Bromance of Wes and Dave, with his story of Tony Ledger.

·          Quotes: Scott remarks to Billy, who can't hide that he is worried about the flight, that he'll be fine as lightening never strikes twice! Marilyn tells Luis the insurance company insisted on every bag being searched, and christens Harchester "a psychopath’s favourite club".

Additional Info: Marilyn has worked for Jerry for eight years and until last month ran his Far East division. Football agent Jerome Anderson also got in on another of his clients, Emmanuel Petit, then of Arsenal, cameo appearance in The Bill's Christmas episode "Christmas Star" in 1998.

·          Soundtrack: The Three Amigos: Louie Louie
