DT Locations: The Dell

The Dell, on Milton Road, Hampshire in South East England, made a sole DT appearance as Southampton F.C.'s home ground in Season 3 in October 1999.

PR agency owner Ann Patterson travels down from the Midlands to pitch to football agent Jerome Manson, and his client, Saints legend Matt Le Tissier. The journey sees her arrive late, before dropping her papers, but a meeting over lunch sees Jerome interested in working with her further, and Matt passes a good luck message to her fiancee Michael Dillon, playing in the UEFA Cup Second Round First Leg against Rangers tomorrow.

Southampton F.C. travel to The Dragon's Lair for two more fixtures while still based at The Dell; a 2-0 win later that season with Marian Pahars the only credited scorer (3.35). And a 0-0 draw in the 2000-01 season (4.12), both games taking place under manager Glenn Hoddle (January 2000 - March 2001).

Having opened in 1898, The Dell closed after its last game in May 2001, to be replaced by St Mary's Stadium.
