DT Locations: Lansdowne Road

Lansdowne Road, in Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland, featured in 1 episode of DT in Season 5 in March 2002.

Midfielder Danny Rawsthorne received a call-up to the England Under 21's squad. However, shifty agent and son of recently-appointed HUFC manager Patrick, Taylor Doyle, out to tempt Danny from his long-term agents Jeff and Tash, sees a better buck if Danny was made aware he was eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland's national team. Liaising with Mick McCarthy, soon Danny has switched to Ireland, permitted to play through what he believed to be his paternal grandmother's heritage.

Danny makes his international debut in Ireland's friendly with Finland at Lansdowne Road, where a cross from Jason McAteer leads to Danny scoring with a header. A short time later Danny's place is threatened when Joe Rawsthorne drops the bombshell he is not his biological father.

Lansdowne Road stadium was demolished in 2007, in order for the Aviva Stadium to be built on its same site, opening three years later.
