DT Locations: Leicester and Filbert Street

Leicester, and Filbert Street, in the East Midlands featured in 1 episode of DT in Season 1 (1998).

Harchester United's visit in early January 1998 is to face current Coca Cola Cup holders Leicester City on FA Cup 3rd Round day. For Dean Hocknell, the game is overshadowed by his unintended sex tape with Georgina Jacobs finding its way to the press, and Dean has little else on his mind other than his fiancée Lucy, who is commentating on the game, finding out. Lucy reports that Emile Heskey and Matt Elliott have both passed late fitness tests. Before the game, Karl Fletcher wants to bet Dean £50 he will score the first goal. In the first half an Ian Marshall goal leads to an early introduction to the half time mauling of new boss Ian Coates, which sends the team out to an equaliser from Fletch. After Dean takes it 2-1 up, he brings down Steve Walsh, and pushes the referee resulting in him being sent off. After their win, Fletch reveals as Dean didn't take his bet he put on a side one hoping he'd do just what he did - lose his temper and get sent off. The day ends with Dean's demons exposed, as chairman Michael Jacobs plays the tape on the coach home, learning it is his daughter with Dean on the table, and he informs Dean he is finished.

Alongside the game, Des Baker drives Sean, Vincent and Warren to the ground, only for the tickets to be locked inside Des's car. While the three attempt to listen to the game outside the stadium, Warren uses a wire coat hanger to unlock the door, but a policeman catches him. Des and the lads pay a shopkeeper to listen to the match on his radio, before returning to find a note on the car from the police regarding Warren.

Leicester City are in the Premier League for the rest of their time at Filbert Street, with two away fixtures to Harchester's Dragon's Lair seen, first with a 0-0 draw in April 2000 (3.55), then a 2-1 win with both goals from captain Matt Elliott that October (4.4).

Harchester's games against Leicester City take place under the reigns of Martin O'Neill, manager from December 1995 - June 2000, and Peter Taylor from June 2000 - September 2001.

Having opened in 1891, Filbert Street hosted Leicester's last home fixture in May 2002, at the same time the club was relegated to Division 1, and moved to their new ground The Walkers Stadium.
