Luton Airport (London Luton Airport) made its sole appearance in Dream Team in the first episode when Conor McCarthy flew from, presumably, Belfast City Airport in his native County Down. Conor is expecting to be met by Des Baker, who is his digs landlord, as he is joining Harchester United's youth team. But when Des is delayed in France having travelled for England's World Cup qualifier against Italy, and the family do not get his messages, Conor is left waiting at the airport. After a tannoy announcement still leaves him in the same position, Conor decides to make his own way by taxi.
Luton Airport's early appearance in DT is notable, for across the series East Midlands Airport is the more local choice for the club and its employees when flying in and out of Harchester.
