Danny McCahon wrote for DT during Season 1. Owing to the season's missing episodes, it is presently known that he wrote 2 episodes in 1998.

 

He has had long stints writing for "Casualty" (16 episodes, 2002-06) and "River City" between 2004-2023. His further TV credits include "Doctors" (2 episodes, 2000), "London's Burning" (2 episodes, 2001), a feature-length "Taggart" (1999), the adaptation of Roy App's novels "Stacey Stone" (7 episodes, 2001) and "Emmerdale" (2 episodes, 2012).

 

His films "A Small Deposit" (1994) was nominated for a Scottish Film Production Award BAFTA, and "Danger Doyle's Doo" (1997) was also Scottish BAFTA nominated. His other films include the TV movie "Have You Seen My Son?" (2014) and the shorts "Starcaster" (2014) which he also produced and "Heartache Souvenirs" (2023)

 

In radio, he wrote "A Lulu of a Kid" (2015) and "Lulu's Back In Town" (2016) based around the career of the singer, which were followed by a stage show "Where's Lulu" in 2018.
