DT Cameos>> Helen Chamberlain

Helen appears as a sports reporter for Sky, alongside her then regular role as co-host of Soccer AM. She gets the gig of a one-to-one interview with chairwoman Stephanie Jacobs, exclusively revealing her plans for a new "Addison Park stadium" which will make Harchester the biggest sports venue in the Midlands. Helen points out that the fans are also concerned about the football side of things, and Stephanie tells her they intend to incorporate a centre of excellence at the new stadium for young footballing talent, which takes money so Sky's publicity will help bring potential investors in.

Early in the following season, Helen is on the scene at Addison Road where the big story is the signing of Real Betis's Luis Amor Rodriguez, and she is determined to get the view of his new team mates Karl Fletcher and Sean Hocknell. With a prime seat in the press conference, Helen presses Luis on whether he's had a bust-up with the national side's manager Daniel Passarella, and England being knocked out of that summer's World Cup by Argentina. But Helen, unaware of the love story she is about to set off, makes the ultimate suggestion of Lynda Block getting in on the shot of Luis’s press unveiling.

The following April, Helen is covering the FA Cup Semi-Final between Harchester and Charlton Athletic. After being duped by Luis's hamstring tactic in training, Helen interviews Alan Curbishley, followed by the winning Harchester team and announcing Leon Man of the Match.
