Fletch, Sean, Coates, Team Luis, Fletch Mica, Photographer |
On the morning of the semi-final, Jerry is determined Luis will be on the pitch. Coates, of course, believes Sean has a right to know what’s gone on but Jerry is dead against him knowing, wanting it all hushed up until after the game. Coates can't resist, and asks Sean for a word in private, with Fletch and the team left thinking Sean is about to be dropped. Sean demands Coates tell him who attacked his wife, and when Mica says she doesn't want to talk about it, Sean storms into the hotel dining room and punches Luis, having to be held back by Frank and the team. Coates advises Sean to keep his head clear for the game, but Sean tells him to stick the game and he won't play for Harchester as long as Luis is still here. Frank goes into Sean as he is packing, and tells Sean he heard Mica was drunk, and she might not remember everything as clearly as it was. Coates and Jerry watch as Luis addresses the team over how Sean is mistaken, and Jerry asks the team to put what's happened out of their minds and if they win today, he'll double their win-bonuses. Sean and Mica leave the hotel and speed through the scrum of journalists yelling into the car. Julie is worried when the TV report says Mica was with Sean as he sped off from the team's hotel. Richard Keys and Andy Gray believe there has been a managerial/player bust-up between Sean and Luis. Harchester take to the pitch against Charlton at Anfield. Sean and Mica arrive back at the house to find the press camped outside, and they have to fight through the crowd to get inside. Sean goes back out to threaten the press pack with the police, and from inside Mica yells and Sean finds a photographer in the living room snapping his camera before legging it! Mica plans to leave, telling Sean she has ruined his career, but Sean reassures her that they will fight this together. Harchester are 2-nil down as they go in at half time. Notes: · The Best: Fletch, angry that Sean isn't playing, remarking to Luis it might be best if he stays away from other people's wives. Then Fletch determined to get through to Sean, and yells at him he is throwing his career away for Mica “a lying tramp”. Kelly’s predicted formation of Jimmy Russell being pushed further forward and Fletch played a little wider, with Billy teasing her as a “Little Andy Gray”, only for Gray to repeat the same prediction moments later! Additional Info: The FA Cup Final is due to take place on 22nd May. · What Was The Score?: Richard Rufus scores Charlton’s first from a John Robinson free kick. Clive Mendonca takes it to 2-0.
