After all, Harchester was no Madrid where she had previously called home with Atlético superstar striker Miguel Lopez, however by the 2006-07 season Miguel's arrogance had alienated his manager and team mates to the point he is pushed out of the club. A move to HUFC in the English Premier League was a move Miguel couldn't afford to turn down, and while it made him the most famous player in the team, Gabrielle was isolated with the unknown Harchester WAG's and miles from the exclusivity and glamour of London. As Gabrielle was away from Harchester a lot, Miguel was hardly the devoted boyfriend, and set his sights on new team mate Jason Porter's girlfriend Katy Irwin. Believing Gabrielle will be away for the club's Christmas party, Miguel offers Katy the choice of Gabrielle's unused designer dresses saying she won't mind. However, there is trouble when Gabrielle does indeed show up to the biggest press event Harchester has to offer, as Jason is giving Miguel a whack for coming onto Katy. But it isn't the fight between the two that catches Gabrielle's eye, but Katy in a dress she very clearly recognises! After a scrap to get Katy out of the dress on the Studs dancefloor, Gabrielle realises she can afford to leave Miguel behind, and does just that.
