Liam Katy, Miguel Sully, Kim, Amy Terry Katy, Gabrielle |
GS: Terry Harrison (Tony Selby) Gabrielle Taylor (Daphne Alexander) A clumsy postman still hasn't gotten used to the new layout of the Barrons(!) and delivers Liam's Christmas party invite to the Craig's. Gabrielle returns from wherever she has been since 10.2, and is off again on a photoshoot abroad. Miguel attempts to chase after Gabrielle's car to inform her of the party, but falls and is aided by a caring Katy. Kim meanwhile, seems to be back to bitter ex-wife mode following her compromise with Danny, and is further rattled when she receives a letter that she is due to be evicted from the Barrons. Kim then sees her invitation (addressed to 'Mr and Mrs' Sullivan) for the Christmas party and bins it. Kim tries to make herself feel better by paying a visit to Sully and Amy's new apartment, complete with African-Ebony chairs to granite worktops (not to mention Amy's dress for the party, designed by none other than Julien Macdonald!). Miguel visits Katy with a bunch of flowers, and reveals he is in a dilemma at his house. The heating has packed in and Miguel is getting his first taste of a real British winter. Katy soon deduces that Miguel is totally hopeless when Gabrielle isn't around, unable to cook or even work the coffee machine himself. While “Ol’ DIY Katy” fixes his heating problem, she invites Miguel round to she and Jason's for dinner. Liam returns home to find Gemma inside, decorating the entire front room with Christmas gear and accidentally discovering stored-away pictures of he and Chloe. When Gemma lets slip that she did it because she felt sorry for Liam, he flips and screams at Gemma to get out. Sully explains to a seething Kim that the eviction notice is always sent out when players are no longer living at the Barrons, and gets a run-down of what life will be like for she and the twins whilst he enjoys all of the comforts she saw at he and Amy's apartment. Sully storms out having seen Kim is not in a rational mood, and she takes the party invite out of the bin, now determined to attend. Miguel is excited to learn he will have Katy all to himself when Jason texts to say he is at Phil's. Needless to say Jason is not impressed when he learns of Miguel's lurking around Katy. Gemma continues her pursuit of Liam, this time trying to apologise for yesterday. She catches him at the worst possible moment however, as he has just received his divorce papers from Chloe. Gemma is shocked when he begins smashing the front room up, before collapsing to the floor crying, where she holds him. Katy is gutted when she leaves the iron to burn through her party dress, and Miguel offers up a selection of dresses designers have sent Gabrielle, many of which she has never worn. Miguel continues to muscle in when he sees Jason's old rust bucket refuse to start. Jason is adamant they won't take a lift off Miguel, but Katy accepts to his annoyance. The press are out in full force outside Studs, snapping Gavin and Cindi followed by Miguel and Katy - whom they believe is his new girlfriend until Jason pushes through. Jimmy and Gemma arrive, and he pulls her away from the flashing cameras. As Amy greets the guests at the door, she and Sully are shocked to see a feisty Kim appear, and announce to the gathered press that she's "Mrs Danny Sullivan!". To Amy's horror, Sully is made to stand and pose with Kim for pictures. Inside, Jason feels more isolated from Katy, while Terry commends Jimmy on his work so far, and adds in the new year they will look into drawing up a permanent contract, which makes Jimmy's night. Terry takes the mic to give a speech, congratulating the team on being on course for After she is cut off, Kim throws her drink in Amy’s face, with the crowd left feeling awkward. Amy later sobs in the ladies to Cindi, bitterly stating that she hopes Kim will be evicted. Liam and Gemma go outside for some air and he thanks her for persuading him to come tonight. Gemma moves in and they kiss, only Liam backs away, telling her he is sorry. She asks him why and he says it's because she's the Gaffer's daughter. Gemma won't leave off, until Liam puts it to her straight that she's just a little girl, and Gemma runs away hurt to Jimmy’s car. Jason sees red when Miguel puts his hands on Katy, and fireworks are set off when Gabrielle arrives unexpectedly, furious to see Miguel romancing another woman wearing her dress! As Gabrielle scraps with Katy, Jason socks Miguel twice as he tries to separate the warring girls. As the fight(s) continue inside, Liam goes after Gemma, and attempts to apologise to her. Gemma is now not in the mood to listen, and attempts to drive her dad's car away, resulting in her running over Liam's foot and smashing into scaffolding in front of her, as Liam yells out for help and Jimmy hears of the crash inside. Notes: The Best: Hearing James Floyd's English accent, as Miguel impersonates Gabrielle. We are treated to a fashion show reminiscent of Abi Fletcher’s in 7.25 Coming Of Age with Katy, Kim and Gemma - whom Jimmy doesn't approve of any dress she picks.
