Miguel's shiner Liam, Sully Jason and Phil reminisce Gemma |
GS: Phil (Dominic Doughty) Club Doctor (Philip Childs) Fending off the press pack at the hospital entrance, Jimmy finds Gemma all bruised-up lying in bed and checks on Miguel's eye and Liam's foot. Jimmy is told Miguel is unlikely for Boxing Day while Liam is definitely a no-no. Gemma is embarrassed when Liam walks in to visit her, hiding her face under the covers until he leaves, and is then rattled by the arrival of her mother, demanding to know what she's been up to. Jason hides from Jimmy when he comes knocking at his door, believing he will be sacked over the fight with Miguel. Following a brainwave from Katy that Jimmy might go easy on him if he takes Miguel a Christmas present to apologise, they go and see Miguel who is nursing a black eye. Miguel informs them that aside from his hurt pride, and Gabrielle leaving him, he will be lucky to play in one of the next three games so isn't in the mood to talk. When Jimmy finally catches up with Jason at training, he is surprised to learn he is in fact on the bench for Boxing Day's game against Christmas Day arrives, and Sully dresses up as Santa for the twins, spending the day at Kim’s. Jason is fretting about being up against Micah Richards if he goes on for the At the Moody's, Miguel's persistence has paid off, as the group are forced to endure the sounds of Jason puking up in the sink. Miguel walks Jason back to his house, on the way sharing that on his debut he got locked in the dressing room. After the twins are put to bed, Kim gives Sully a present, which surprises him as he thought they'd decided not to buy presents. It is a photograph of him with the twins on a family holiday they had, and Danny notices that Kim has cropped herself out. Sully adds he doesn't want to pretend they were never a family. Before long, the two are kissing. By evening, Jimmy is about to leave to stay at the Grange, but Gemma decides to stay home alone. Sully is in a hurry to leave Kim's after they’ve slept together, and Kim tries to reason with him that they won't deny what just happened. Danny runs out however, leaving his present behind. At home, Gemma begins to feel unwell with her head, and goes to Liam's for paracetamol. Sully phones Amy, and is shocked to learn she is round Kim's. Amy puts Kim on and Danny warns her not to do anything, while Kim teases that he's lucky to have such a loyal girlfriend. Jason takes Phil to the club, where he says he thought seeing his kit for tomorrow would make him feel easier, but it hasn’t. Phil goes through with Jason each step of how it'll be for him. Gemma confides to Liam that she thinks her mother is having an affair. Sully then calls Liam to the Grange where he confesses he has slept with Kim, and now fears she will tell Amy. Gemma is finishing drying the plates when suddenly her bad head comes on again, only this time it is much worse, and she collapses onto the floor.
