With Hankin still digging, Lynda wants to keep up the good image of Didier following his goal at the Man U game, and sets Ann the task of good publicity. Ann doesn't know what she’ll do with her PR business as the baby is due in four weeks. Tash is tired of sitting in her beige house and is glad to be taking Jamie to a London Premiere tonight. Jamie sees this as an opportunity to spend the afternoon cruising in Eddie's new sponsored car. Victoria tells Prash instead of his offered pay-off she wants an investor to help her go into business. Scott is worried about how exhausted Ann is, and gets her to let him look after her for the rest of the day.

Prash is impressed with Victoria's plan, and will pay her wages and expenses for a year with the view of buying a share if she sells. Ann and Scott visit her consultant where she's told she is in danger of preeclampsia and may need an emergency caesarean. Ann sobs in the car that her business will go under and she'll lose her baby, and Scott reassures her he will look after her and their child. Scott suggests asking Kelly back to run things while she's away. Victoria has already swooped in on Kelly, and wants her back even though Ann hasn't agreed to any taking over yet. Victoria will also be renaming things Patterson-Palmer after her maiden name.

Tash forces Jamie with Eddie in tow to use the car to take them to the Premiere, as Jamie left their car at the club. Ann's waters break and Scott phones for an ambulance. After a difficult delivery, Ann has a baby boy, and Scott phones his mom to say although earlier than expected, he is a dad. After clubbing all night, Jamie and Eddie are pulled over by the police on the way back to Harchester. Though that is nothing compared to when they have to face Ray over being splashed across today's papers. Scott eases the situation when he comes in to announce Ann's had the baby. Tash cries to Jeff that no-one will remember her after two years in Harchester for Jamie's career and she can't hack it.

Victoria, Kelly and Lynda visit Ann and the new baby in hospital, where Victoria asks Ann to look over her business plans when she's ready. Jeff gets Tash on side with a proposal of how he will organise a feature for her with OK! or Hello Magazine on how she's helping Jamie, England's future no.1 goalkeeper, settle into his new home. Ann and Scott discuss baby names for their son, with Ann suggesting Luke though he wouldn't be Luke Lucas but Luke Patterson. Scott suggests Sam, as it was his grandfather, which Ann also likes. When the baby is three days old, Scott brings he and Ann back to his flat, but she is already feeling stifled by his overbearing nature.

Victoria talks to Ann about her plan of buying into the business with Prash's money, and how the two of them will run it together when Ann gets back from maternity leave. Tash consults a portrait artist about commissioning a mural of she and Jamie. When Scott goes to training, Ann is shocked to find Scott has collected all of her possessions and brought them in bags to his flat. Prash talks to Scott about how having bought half of Ann's company, he is willing to purchase the rest from her if she wishes now she's had the baby. Ann tells Kelly she should have asked her back months ago, and overreacted getting rid of her. Kelly tells Ann she heard from Victoria that she will be selling the business altogether, opting for full-time motherhood, which is what Scott told Prash anyway. Ann is gobsmacked to hear this.

Scott gets back to find Ann writing a letter about how she is going to stay with her mom in Bristol. Scott begs her not to take Sam like his dad left him, but Ann says she can't get back together with him following his past behaviour, and having a child together can't change that. Although she does tell Scott she is glad he is Sam's father and he can visit them whenever. Ann gets into her taxi with Sam and Scott watches them drive away, heartbroken that she and his new son won't be around.
