Lynda tells Ray they have no other choice but to sell a player in order to make the month’s payroll, especially after Scott was left unsold following his injury. Lynda meets Mr Sawyer an environmental health officer from the council, and calls the first team and their wives to the boardroom to announce because the methane gas levels at The Barrons have risen to an unacceptable level, they will be relocated to The Grange from today. Lynda has to dash out once more to throw up, and Eddie follows her, saying he will take the previous transfer offer to Finland as he just wants to get out of Harchester following the Maria business.

Monday tells Siobhan they can't take separate rooms at The Grange as it will look like they are not together, and suggests she go and stay with her family again. Siobhan confides in Tash that her family aren't talking to her since her marriage to Monday, and her mother called her a whore. Siobhan then reveals it's her twentieth birthday today, and she doesn't feel she belongs in either Harchester or back home. Tomkins, a heavy with a gruff voice turns up at the club to demand the forty-eight thousand Jamie owes, and gives him until tonight to come up with it.

The Barrons' residents move their things to The Grange, and Tash lets Monday know it is Siobhan's birthday. He is confused as Siobhan received no cards, and Tash informs him her family are not happy with her over the marriage. Jamie is desperate to get out and bet, and recruits a depressed Eddie with the excuse that he needs to focus his mind on something! Jeff reports back to Lynda how it seems FC Jazz don't want to spend the money on buying Eddie and want him on loan. Jeff adds Crystal Palace may be interested however. At the races, before he knows it, Jamie is asking Eddie for a generous sub.

Tash organises a birthday cake for Siobhan and the players and wives sing Happy Birthday to her. Crystal Palace offer a million for Eddie, but when phoning him Eddie refuses, for he believes Maria is in London and wants to go nowhere near there. Siobhan gets sozzled on champagne drowning her birthday woes, and Fletch goes over to try his luck. In order to prize her away from him, Campbell calls Fletch pretending to be Prash while Danny whisks her away. Monday comes across Danny helping Siobhan to her room and thinks there is something going on between the two.

Jamie and Eddie are hammered after a couple of big wins, and Jamie is late meeting Tomkins to pay off his debt, and the heavy goes straight to Tash alone in her room. Jeff and Lynda finally secure Eddie a deal with Turkish side Trabzonspor but encountering him in a drunken state, Eddie tears up the deal and says they need him here at Harchester! Tomkins takes whatever possessions he can grab to the value of Jamie's debt, and Tash doesn't believe him when he says Jamie's gambling is why their Porsche was pawned. When Tash tries to stop him taking her own car, Tomkins hits her in the face. After he's gone, Jamie returns to the room, and a bruised Tash tells him it's not just his debt that is over - they are too.
