GS: Roger Frost (Ken Hadley) Trevor Cutler (Stephen Rashbrook) Mr Simons (Rob Swinton) Eric Faulkner (Tony Whittle) Lynda spots an official doing checks on the Lair's grounds, and Roger says it is the annual health and safety report. Prash encounters the official Mr Simons and convinces him as a major club shareholder he has a right to know alongside Mrs Block if a problem has been found. Prash learns a girder in the North Stand has suffered a stress fracture, and will immediately need to be closed and repaired, which could well affect the upcoming Aston Villa game. Prash knows he will use this to his advantage against Lynda. Lynda gets a shock when Trevor Cutler from the bank informs her of what he's heard from Prash, and Lynda marches outside to be told by Simons about the North Stand damage. Tash lays down the law to Jamie about how she is now in control of his money. When Jeff notices her unusual headscarf he knows she is hiding something, and sees the bruise on her face. Jeff believes Jamie has hit Tash, and wallops Jamie himself while Tash protests it wasn't him! Lynda refutes the council's estimate of £150K for the stand's repair, but Roger tells her unless they get it done the stand will be out of action for the rest of the season. As Tash leaves to take the money to pay off Jamie's debt, he sneaks a couple of wads out of the bag and immediately begins betting on the horses again. Trevor tells Lynda the bank cannot help the club anymore as it's financially unviable, and recommends she take Prash's offer of reinstating his overdraft and a £5M loan. Lynda knows he will want the majority shareholding in return and says she won't give it him, and will find the money another way. Lynda confronts Victoria when she finds her with a photographer outside the stand, and Victoria can tell Lynda is pregnant. Lynda approaches Jeff about forming a consortium to invest in the club. Tash returns to Jamie, having discovered two grand was missing and knows he is still gambling. Tash tells him to get out, but not before he's left behind his wedding ring as she could do with the cash! Victoria is delighted to receive an envelope of photographs with Lynda and Ray looking intimate during their affair. Jamie persuades Eddie to let him chill in his room while he is heading out, and again on the races, spots cash sitting on the side. Eddie returns unexpectedly and catches Jamie helping himself, so throws him out. When both Jeff and Monday are unable to come up with investors in time for her, Lynda goes to Ray and says she is going to have to sell the club to Prash, no matter how much either of them don't like it. Lynda thanks Ray for the last 18 months. Lynda requests ten million from Prash as he offered before. He refuses all offers, and hands Lynda a court order revealing he will be taking the club into administration, with her shares going towards paying off the debts. Prash smugly adds she should have listened to him months ago as she'll now leave with nothing. As the transition of the club's ownership takes place in the boardroom, Eddie puts it to the lads that they strike until they are guaranteed to be paid next month. Eric Faulkner, the administrator appointed by the court believes they can not wait for new bids when Prash's offer to immediately fix the stand is here. Fletch does Prash's bidding with the team, and convinces all but Matt that Prash will be a great chairman who will see them into Europe. Ray goes to Lynda sitting in the stands and says he's told Faulkner he won't work for Prash, but she tells him not to quit this close to the season's end, even though they both know Prash will sack him. Matt confronts Fletch about his support for Dattani when he knows he bunged Didier, and suspects Fletch has got something going on with Prash. Faulkner lets Prash know the deadline for any further bids for the club is midday tomorrow, after which he will recommend to the bank that they accept his offer. Ray tries to convince Lynda to attend the game on Saturday but she is too distraught, really believing she was going to make it. Notes: Best Known For: Tony Whittle has the distinction of playing the taxi driver who whisked Julie Goodyear’s Bet Lynch away from “ The Best: Jamie’s last resort of the club’s physio room to spend the night after Eddie tells the team about his light-fingeredness, and Lizzie believes he has hit Tash over her bruise.
