Phil and Jacqui picnic on the Dragon’s Lair pitch. Nikki attempts to throw them out until she gets closer and realises it is the new owners! Phil is more interested in his new exclusive access to watch the team train than the business side of the club. The team are perplexed by Phil's presence. Phil is soon giving Patrick his view on who to play where, and wants rid of Robbie Walsh! Tash brings Jamie home, but they are left disappointed when they can't get the spark back in their marriage, and Tash has Robbie on her mind. Leaving Phil to be schmoozed by Jeff, Jacqui lets Patrick drive her to their new home at The Barrons. They get to know each other and Jacqui tells Patrick before the win she was an estate agent. Tash feels she and Robbie cannot continue now Jamie is home, and she calls it off with him.

After persuading Jamie to spend time on his own with Hope, Tash is stunned to learn from Jeff that the club have arranged a place for Jamie at a treatment facility in America. Phil informs Jeff he wants Robbie sold. At a welcome dinner he has organised with the team, Phil makes an awkward speech again emphasising how excited he is to be here. There is more awkwardness when Jamie thanks Robbie for looking after Tash and Hope for him. Phil feels bad when Robbie is the only player to give him the time of day, and understands his passion about being lucky in football. Jacqui is annoyed with Phil for making tonight about the players and not her, but briefly forgets when he presents her with a diamond necklace. Until Phil adds he is off clubbing with the lads, and Jacqui snaps they think he is a joke.

Phil makes sure to let Patrick know he was hasty in wanting to sell Robbie, and should even be given a chance today against Newcastle. Patrick agrees, but the deed is lost when Jeff goes with Phil's earlier words and tells Robbie with a new chairman it feels like it's time for him to go. Jacqui has come to the game, which delights Phil, and he is about to tell her he doesn't want the club if it is going to come between them, but when Marcel scores he loses all track of thought to celebrate. Tash is shocked when Jamie stops her in her preparations for L.A, and adds he has to go alone as she and Hope are part of his obstacle in recovering. Tash is hurt, and reminds Jamie how she had to give birth alone because he was on that coach, and then had to look after both a new baby and an injured husband alone for months afterwards.

Robbie gets his confidence back and scores, securing a second consecutive win for the Dragons. Jacqui has had enough, and Patrick witnesses her speeding away having driven over a Wallis #11 shirt of Phil's. Jamie is ready to leave in his taxi, and parts with his words of "Babes" for Tash, which she hasn't heard him say since before the crash. Tash cries as she watches Jamie driven away.

Notes:

The Best: Phil wanting to touch Marcel's famous foot (and not Fletch’s), which Marcel doesn't find at all uncomfortable! Robbie’s flowers, not for Tash, but Jamie!

Continuity: Phil recalls being in the stands to see Scott score against Man U, and when Rodriguez put in the penalty to keep them up against Tottenham (4.1). Phil’s history lesson continues when he suggests Doyle play Fletch out wide like Coates used to. Jacqui puts her foot in it when she talks to Nikki on how conversing with footballers isn't her kind of thing, and Nikki responds her boyfriend and brother were among the best footballers she knows.

Additional Info: Jeff begins representing Robbie, after Robbie mentions Taylor is “gone”. Jim Alexander makes a brief exit from the show, during which he films an extended guest stint on “The Bill”, before returning in 6.10 A Game Of Two Halves.

What Was The Score?: Newcastle take the lead in the first half with a free kick from Laurent Robert which Carl Cort sends into the net. Harchester are 2-up in the second with goals from Marcel and Robbie. Curtis hits the post just missing out on 3-1 for Harchester.

Soundtrack: Coldplay: "Clocks" and "In My Place",  DJ Shadow: "Fixed Income",  Feeder: "Just A Day",  Tim Deluxe: "It Won't Do",  Toploader: "Time Of My Life",  Liberty X: "Just A Little",  Vanessa Carlton: "Rinse" (the theme of Tash and Robbie's affair),  Hoobastank: "Crawling in the Dark"
