A shock turn of events leaves Fletch in a critical condition and Jamie has blood on his hands. Can the desperate goalie find a way out? Patrick has a solution - but it's not good.
Harchester, who have been excellent in the match, lead 1-0 through a Karl Fletcher goal. Curtis Alexander soon makes it two, with a wonderful header. Jamie in goal has had absolutely nothing to do. After the game, Karl tells the fans that the dragons are not going down as long as he has anything to do with it.
Jamie has gone to see Patrick. He tells him that he couldn't help Harchester winning as the ball didn't even go in the box, Patrick still tells him it's not good enough though. He tells him to make sure Fletch doesn't play in the final two games of the season because they need him to win. Patrick threatens him to do this by telling him he knows where Tash is staying.
Alan, who is really pleased with the win, tells the lads that they can all go back to The Grange and have drinks on him, but only soft drinks. Karl persuades Jamie to go himself. He goes and ends up sitting alone getting himself drunk. When Abi and Karl realize that he is drunk they take him home before Alan sees him.
Jamie who is now in bed, cannot sleep, he tosses and turns all night. Morning comes and he gets ready to leave for training. Jeff asks what's going on between him and Tash but he just tells him that he'll sort it. Karl knocks, telling Jamie that he's came to help him get to training.
Phil and Nikki arrive at work to find Jacqui hanging around. Jacqui tells Phil that she's going to get HUTV back on air. He tells her that she can't just come back into his life and Harchester's and act like nothing has happened. She tells him that she wants to make amends but Phil tells her it's too late. He lets her no that she can stay if she wants but it won't affect him.
Alan notices that at training Jamie isn't doing his best. Karl gets the manager off his back and then persuades him to try harder even if he doesn't feel like it. As the team get into 5 aside, Jamie remembers what Patrick told him to do. He makes a bad tackle, hurting Karl. After being checked out though Karl is found to be fine, much to the disappointment of Jamie. Karl tells him that he'll need a lot more than just a bad tackle to stay off the pitch.
Its night and the boys are finding who they're sleeping with. Karl is paired with Curtis, but asks if he can swap and stay in the same room as Jamie to try and get him back to his best.
While the team are eating there dinner, Fletch notices Jamie is staring into space in a daydream. He tells him to eat up, and then Jay shouts out how he ‘can't do it'. He then goes on to say how the food he has was not what he ordered. Karl happily swaps meals with him.
Phil, who is sharing a room with Nikki, tells her that he is too nervous and is a pain before a match, so he should get a separate room. Nikki objects but Phil leaves, booking another room.
Abi calls Jamie, giving him some sleeping pills. While she goes to get water, Jami take a handful. He puts them all in his mouth and pretends to swallow them. A he gets out the room he puts them back in his pocket. Back in his room, he mixes them in a drink. He then offers it to Karl, toasting to beat West Brom. As he toasts, he spills the drink all over the floor.
Phil, who is in his room, grabs his stuff, and decides to go to see Jacqui. Nikki cannot sleep, neither can Alan, and neither can Jennifer all for love related reasons. Jennifer goes out for a walk and bumps into Marcel, who also couldn't sleep. They talk and end up romantically kissing.
Jamie is standing above Karl, who is sleeping. He has a fire extinguisher, ready to smash it down on him. He decides against it though.
It's the next morning and Abi goes to see Karl. Jamie opens the door. She asks where Karl is to a sleepy, confused Jamie but he doesn't give her an answer. She walks in the room and worriedly asks where he is when Karl jumps out scaring her. Abi rings Alan and tells him that she is worried about Jamie.
Alan calls Jamie to his room and tells him that if they lose Harchester are relegated so he cannot afford his goalkeeper to not be on form. As Alan steps into the bathroom, Jamie notices tablets, which are to help against heart attacks. He takes them and leaves. He goes back to his room and crushes them up, taking them down to breakfast.
During breakfast, Jamie mixes the crushed tablets into his scrambled eggs. He then complains that once again he has the wrong food, and once again Karl happily swaps. He eats the poached eggs… And the powder. Meanwhile, Nikki asks at reception if Phil has checked out, the receptionist tells her that she doesn't know. She then goes up to his room to find a cleaner doing the room. The bed is made. She asks the cleaner if she had to make the bed and she tells her that it hadn't even been slept in.
The team is in the dressing room getting ready for the match; Karl though is not feeling very well. He is sweating and feeling tired. The match begins and he is not his normal self. Straight away, Alexander has a brilliant shot which the keeper parries, causing Marcel to knock in the rebound. Minutes later, West Brom get a corner which Jamie catches. He randomly kicks the ball up field. It ends up landing at the feet of Curtis Alexander who buries the ball home to make it 2-0. Jamie cannot believe it.
Nikki goes to see Phil and asks if he slept well and if his room was okay. Phil tells her he did and it was. Nikki asks why he is lying to her and he just says he didn't sleep in the bed. An unhappy Nikki storms off. She goes and asks Jacqui if Phil was with her last night and she tells the truth. She also tells Nikki it wasn't the first time.
When the first half comes to an end, Karl collapses, not breathing. He is rushed to hospital. Jamie goes to see Fletch in hospital. Karl tells him that the doctors cannot find anything and believe that it must be something to do with his heart. Jamie tells him that'll he'll be back playing soon but Fletch tells him he probably won't. Jamie cannot believe it and breaks down crying. He goes to find a doctor shouting that there is nothing wrong. He tells Abi that there is nothing wrong with his heart.
Jamie goes to The Grange to see Patrick. He gets given money. He asks what it is for as the team won. Patrick explains that he took care of Karl Fletcher which is a good thing. Doyle tells him that all they now have to do is lose to Everton and their down.
Jay is up in his room. Jeff goes to see him telling him dinners ready. Jamie opens up, admitting everything, but Jeff fails to see it and thinks he is talking about Tash. He explains how he didn't mean to hurt anyone and how there is only one game to go. Jeff leaves Jamie who is crying his eyes out.
Phil goes round to see Nikki and apologizes and that he didn't mean to sleep with Jacqui. He tells her he does care about her (Nikki). She asks Phil if he still loves her to which he doesn't respond. Nikki tells him to leave.
Jamie is still in his bed, tossing and turning not able to sleep. The next day, he arrives to training late, and then does not perform in goal. Alan calls him to his office and tells him he's dropped. Jamie makes a scene telling him that he can't, he even offers money to let him play. Alan though tells him that he needs professional help and tells him to get out.
When Jacqui hears that Phil and Nikki are no longer together, she goes to see him. Phil though, tells her that she wants no business with her. He explains that he may love her again but he'll never trust her.
Jamie is back at home, on the phone to Tash. He asks her what he should do as he is being dropped. He then asks to speak to Hope, he begins talking to her asking if she's been good. The phone then bleeps, and asks if he wants to re-record his message. Jamie, clenching one of Hope's blankets, again begins crying. Another night goes by where he doesn't sleep.
It's the final day of the season and Harchester are playing Everton, needing a win. Fletch goes to see the team in the dressing room, wishing the team luck. Alan asks him who should be made captain. Karl points over at Marcel.
Meanwhile, Jamie has gone to see Patrick and tells him he's been dropped. He asks him what he should do. Seeing him in such a fragile state, and obviously going mad, Patrick hands him a gun for him to kill himself with.
