Paul Carney directed 4 episodes of DT in Season 5.

 

Paul worked across a number of production crew roles from the early 80's through to directing television in the 21st century. As an Assistant Floor Manager, he worked on mini series "Mansfield Park" (6 episodes, 1983), Grange Hill spin-off "Tucker's Luck" (4 eps, 1984), "The Box of Delights" (6 eps, 1984), the legendary "Last of the Summer Wine" (7 eps, 1984-85) and "EastEnders" in 1987. This was followed by Location managing on "Bergerac" (4 eps, 1989).

 

He was Production Manager from the late 80's on some of the time's most high profile series; "Howards' Way" (2 eps, 1989), its creator's follow-on "Trainer" (4 eps, 1991), "Lovejoy" (2 eps, 1991), "The House of Eliott" (2 eps, 1992), back on "EastEnders" between 1992-98, "Holby City" (2 eps, 1999), and the acclaimed adaptation "David Copperfield" (2 eps, 1999).

 

Having Assistant Directed in the 80's, this continued with "Casualty" (2 eps, 1996), "Holby City" and later the short "Lard" (2004), before Paul had solely directed 3 episodes of "EastEnders" in 1998 and on "Hollyoaks" between 2000-05 for 36 episodes.
