Lynda, D.I. Dawson Phillipa, Jerry Ann, Eddie |
GS: Phillipa French (Nadia Cameron-Blakey) D.I. Dawson (Eddie O’Connell) Jerry arrives for work to be besieged by reporters, yelling is he responsible for the death of John Black. Marilyn tells Jerry Sandra can't cope with the amount of calls coming in from press and TV. D.I. Dawson calls and Marilyn takes over, telling Jerry he can't refuse to make a statement for it looks dodgy. Jerry and Marilyn arrive at the police station to find Lynda already waiting, for she is to be interviewed by Phillipa arrives, and wonders why Jerry let Lynda be questioned without her being present. Lynda comes out and Dawson wants to speak to Marilyn next, leaving a rattled Jerry hanging on. When he finally gets round to speaking with Jerry, Dawson questions Jerry's business locations of London, Amsterdam and Bangkok, which Phillipa probes is he linking Jerry to drugs trafficking? Jerry states to Dawson would he really let the person who hurt his wife go unpunished - to which Dawson responds of course, if it meant his own head was on the block. After an afternoon of fruitless questioning, Jerry is ready to leave until Scott's latest house party is in full swing, and Ann makes her pitch to Eddie about representing him. Eddie isn't interested at first and believes she should leave it to the men(!) but a tactical remark about how she wouldn't let him drive the car he has soon has Eddie's attention. Michael watches, and mistakes Eddie's body language for him coming on to Ann, so goes flying over. Scott separates the two, digging at Michael that he should go home if he can't handle his beer, as Wes holds Michael from lynching Eddie and Scott. Jerry is convinced Dawson is out to ruin him, and it's working. He lets slip to Marilyn that one moment of madness caused all of this, but leaves her confused as to what “moment” he is referring to.
