Billy, Kelly Marilyn, Ann, Eddie, Scott Maxine |
Jerry arrives at work whistling, and hands Marilyn what has made him so chipper - the newspaper reporting Lal's arrest for a football bribery scandal. Didier tells Ray he has phoned Barbara Finch and said he doesn't want to play in the English game anymore. Kelly phones Ann from the primary school to say Scott hasn't turned up and there's a lot of disappointed kids she’ll have to deal with. Jerry estimates he will only be in prison for half-a-season to a season at most, and asks Marilyn would she run the club in his place during that time? A woman turns up at Jerry and Lynda's house, but there is no-one home. Marilyn gives Jerry one condition - he let her realise her share options now instead of in two years time. Marilyn lays it plain to Jerry how with he being the majority shareholder in the club, without letting her gain her 5% he is retaining all the power while she continues to do all the work. Ann finds Scott wrapped in his duvet having slept in, but he charms her annoyance over the school visit by "accidentally" dropping the quilt to expose his regions. Gordon is frantically making phone calls about putting bets on races. The woman at the Block's turns up at the club and reveals she is Maxine, and is looking for her sister Lynda. Jerry takes Lynda to lunch where he reveals he wants to make her a director and on the board of Harchester United. At the press conference, Ann and Eddie are eaten alive by the reporters until Scott takes charge and full responsibility for Gina's humiliation, saying he should have known better. Lynda visits Marilyn in her office wanting advice, as Jerry has asked her to be a club director. Marilyn shows her where this is going, as Jerry wanted her to be chairperson, and with him in prison he will no longer have a say on the board which is where Lynda comes in. At nightfall, Jerry returns home and finds Maxine waiting outside. He has no idea who she is, and she invites herself in. Lynda arrives home later to be met by her sister's sudden arrival. Lynda is shocked, but Jerry doesn't understand why she isn't more happy to see her sister.
