The Elms (Block Mansion II) appeared in 43 episodes of DT in Season 3.
Jerry bought the house in the 1999-00 pre-season while Lynda was in hospital recovering from the Wembley shooting. Its high gate and intercom with Nurse Penny watching over Lynda for him would ensure Jerry kept Luis Amor Rodriguez out! At first, Jerry's scheming has Lynda convinced Luis doesn't care about her, but when she thinks she's lost him in the plane crash, Lynda's love for Luis returns. During this time, the only visitors generally allowed into the Blocks' mansion are Marilyn to see the isolated Lynda, and the generally unwelcome D.I. Dawson, trying to piece together why Jerry and Lynda were targeted by the gunman. When Dawson organises a search of the house, Lynda believes a dodgy deal of Jerry's got her shot, and she leaves him for a time, first seeing her sister Angie and then staying at The Grange. With Luis living at The Grange, and thinking Lynda herself no longer cares, he sleeps with Marilyn, and when Lynda sees her leaving Luis's room in the morning, she gives in to Jerry and returns home. In her absence, Jerry has been kept company at the house by his old chum Gordon Gallagher whom Lynda finds has made himself at home, and when Marilyn confides Luis is in love with another woman, Lynda knows he still wants her.

As Dawson continues to close in on Jerry, he blames his fraudulent payment to MacKinley on his bribe to Councillor Lal, and when Lal turns up at the house and throttles Jerry, he paints it to Lynda that Lal shot her in revenge for this deal. Soon Jerry has found an ally when Lynda's horrible sister Maxine comes to stay. Maxine stirs up trouble that Lynda is going out alone with Didier Baptiste, all to move in on Lynda's life, and an irate Jerry loses control that if Lynda keeps this up, the next time he "won't miss". Maxine suspects Jerry hits Lynda, but Lynda knows exactly what the remark meant. Soon Lynda is letting Dawson, Ray and the whole HUFC board know Jerry was behind the shooting. Jerry and Maxine lock Lynda in her room, and even try to have her sectioned. With Luis returning from his recovery in San Diego, he and Lynda go to collect her things, where Luis gives Jerry a punch when he insults Lynda. With all their cards played in failed attempts to get Jerry to confess, Lynda and Luis are presented with a lifeline from Fletch of the FA Cup Final video capturing Jerry with MacKinley, and Lynda uses it to force Jerry to sign over the house, and the club, to her.
With Jerry gone, Lynda and Luis are in their own home as a couple, but it is soon apparent that they want different things in life; Luis to return home to Argentina and Lynda with her new responsibilities at the club. They take in new housemates in Didier and his returning wife Victoria, but by the end of the season Lynda knows she will be staying on when Luis leaves. Harchester survives relegation, and in the pre-season of 2000-01, Lynda takes a house at the newly-built club-owned The Barrons housing estate, sharing with Victoria once more.
