Fletch is awoken in bed by the prodding of Craig's metal baton against his nose. When Fletch learns Craig is still hanging around his team mates, he skips training to demand a bodyguard from Lynda as he's being stalked. Lynda is distracted as the awaited FA letter regarding the Didier situation arrives. During training Didier is isolated by the team, and Ray gives his selection for Leeds leaving Didier out completely. Didier asks Ray to allow him the Leeds game but Ray won't for the team's morale, and can't sell Didier until he hears the decision from the FA. Lynda reads the letter to Ray and Prash, with how the FA will not be taking the matter further. Lynda brings in a detective to hear Fletch's story, and DS Anderton just wants to record Fletch’s conversations with Craig, as it won't get to court without evidence.

Eddie and Campbell join Danny and Rachel’s lunch, and Eddie announces he has decided to let Danny move into his house. Didier and Prash sit in the dugout discussing being in the clear, and Didier reveals what he told Dodds about their "relationship"! Prash is mortified but tells Didier it is the club's decision where he is transferred to, and if Paris Saint-Germain gets him back the £100K Didier owes him, then so be it. DS Anderton reluctantly accompanies Fletch back to The Barrons to check his security when Fletch spots Craig lurking outside. Speaking with him outside, Craig spins it to Anderton that Fletch is struggling from the near assault he saved him from, and hands the DS the keys to the house which he says Fletch gave to him. Inside, Fletch protests that Craig made him give him the keys, but Anderton uninterestedly tells Fletch just to keep his windows and doors locked.

Eddie spots the club bodyguard outside Fletch's house and learns of Fletch's predicament, offering to stay over to protect his mate! Ray and Lynda are shocked to see the newspapers reporting Didier is going to PSG while they were looking at Marseille. Fletch is using the dressing room baths when Craig dressed as a steward grabs hold of him. Fletch pleads that Lynda made him go to the police and Craig is furious with her, ranting not only has she turned Fletch against him but she is selling their best player in Baptiste and must be stopped! Lynda tells Didier PSG will not offer the club as good a deal as Marseille so that's where he'll go. Didier says he needs the money, not just for Prash but Victoria and his brother both want his money too. Lynda says he doesn't have to give Prash anything as that business is over and Prash lost. Ray asks Didier to take Marseille as a way of paying back the club he let down, and to ease his own conscience.

Before kick-off, Didier enters the dressing room and addresses the team with how sorry he is, and before this happened he gave his heart to this team. Didier says he'll miss them, but the lads have no response. In the exec box, Lynda warns Prash to stop pestering Didier for money, for it's all gone to Victoria so to consider it well spent. Didier watches from the Players' Lounge, with the team struggling without him in the back four. Victoria joins him, and Didier asks her why she went off with Prash. She responds opposites attract and they both like money. Didier apologises for hitting her and Victoria kisses him on the cheek. As Harchester go 2-0 down, Craig flips in the stands yelling at Lynda how it's all her fault. It gets astonishingly worse, and Leeds United have their biggest away win in twenty years, a jaw-dropping 7-0.

After saying goodbye to Didier in the tunnel, Ray faces Lynda and accuses her of playing a part in today's defeat by distracting them with lying to the FA. Lynda makes him do the press conference alone, and rebuffs Fletch when he tries to tell her about Craig's threat. Jamie takes responsibility for two of the goals, but Matt who is also wrecked with guilt says they are not a one-man-team. Fletch looks for Lynda and misses her driving out of the car park. There is a bigger shock for Lynda when Craig appears from the back seat, ordering her to take him to her house. Kitty advises Ray not to leave things stewing with Lynda and to clear the air, which he agrees to. Rachel tells Danny she has decided to stay in Harchester and he is over the moon, as Matt sullenly watches.

Craig holds Lynda in her home, and when Fletch arrives to warn her, Craig beats him with the metal baton. Lynda pleads with Craig for what he wants, and Craig responds he wants her to resign and hand the club over to Prash, as he can make the club great again. Craig records Lynda under duress as she repeats his resignation request. Ray stumbles on the scene and sees Fletch injured on the ground, with Craig terrorising Lynda and swinging his bat. Ray disarms Craig from behind and Lynda launches herself at Craig, before Ray keeps him down with the bat. After the paramedics tend to Fletch, Ray takes a shaken Lynda to stay with he and Kitty.

Notes:

Last appearance of Didier Baptiste (Tom Redhill / Sacha Grunpeter)

The Best: Fletch is freaked when he awakes in bed to another bat in his face, and pulling off the quilt beside him finds Eddie under the covers! Eddie dozily explains he got scared so climbed into Fletch's bed with his baseball bat.

Quotes: Victoria greets Didier with "Hello Mr Bisexual" over his FA story.

Continuity: Lynda catches the radio phone in where she is blamed for selling the club's best players in O'Neill, Rodriguez, Kingsley and now Baptiste.

Additional Info: For the first time we get a preview for the next episode played alongside the now black-screened closing credits. This set-up lasts until 5.31 [#259] Seize The Day.

What Was The Score?: Within three minutes, a cross from Harry Kewell to Michael Bridges sees Leeds go 1-up. Kewell slots in his own soon after and it's 2-0. Soon Jamie is on his feet defending against endless Leeds strikes, resulting in Jonathan Woodgate, a second from Bridges and another three from Kewell finishing the game 7-0. Ouch.

Soundtrack: Goldie: "Timeless",  Supergrass: "G-Song",  Shirley Bassey: "History Repeating",  Moby: "Porcelain",  Cornershop: "Brimful Of Asha",  Massive Attack: "Teardrops"
