GS: Gemma McKenzie (Georgina Redhead) Lisa is concerned about Danny's hectic work schedule leaving him exhausted, which Taylor is there to take advantage of, persuading Danny to skip a commercial shoot Jeff and Tash have fixed for him. Lynda returns from her holiday in Scotland to learn Nikki is suing the club over Claudia sacking her. Lynda informs Claudia as the correct protocols were not taken, Nikki has a case for unfair dismissal. Linton gets angry when Nikki won't spend the afternoon with him, having just been offered her job back. Tash sees red when Danny explains when he is not playing or training she and Jeff have got him running around, and yells he ought to try doing all the running she does for him and being six-and-a-half months pregnant! Claudia attempts to make things up to Nikki with a girls night in. Jeff advises Danny that he should prioritise his fitness for the important games, and suggests dropping the upcoming FA Cup match for the Ireland/Nigeria World Cup warm-up. Talking to Claudia, Tash discovers she confided in Taylor during Andrei's transfer, and knows exactly what happened. Nikki returns to find Linton sitting in the dark, angry about her spending time with Claudia. Linton suggests to Nikki that she quit her job and come to work as his PA. Lynda tells Claudia how unreasonable Gemma's terms she agreed to are, which leads Claudia to feeling she's screwed up again. Danny fakes an injury in training in an attempt to get out of Manchester City. Claudia is shocked when Nikki hands her notice in, pointing out how intense it is to live with, date and work for Linton. Taylor gets wind of Danny skipping games, and Danny tells Lisa he is just following his agent's advice. When Lynda questions Nikki's resignation, she too notices how Nikki is doing this because Linton wants her too. When Claudia finds Nikki has put the house on the market, she confronts Linton over he making decisions for Nikki. Claudia accuses him of having Nikki brainwashed, and Linton menacingly grabs hold of Claudia and says he is getting Nikki away from scum like her. Nikki walks in, but Linton spins it that Claudia was trying it on with him. Danny has regrets ducking out of the game, but Patrick tells him it's too late and hands Jamie the captain's armband. Tash makes another attempt to get into Claudia's computer, only this time she is caught in the act. Tash convinces Claudia to hear her out that Taylor is involved in the Interplayer company and lost the club money in Andrei’s deal, which she can expose. The Dragons lose 2-0 and Danny tells Jeff the trust between them, and in himself, has gone. Sam finds Lynda sitting alone in the stands, where she tells him she thought as long as they were in the FA Cup she was hopeful she could beat the murder charge. When Sam thinks she is returning his engagement ring, Lynda tells him he better get on his knee and propose to her properly. Sam asks Lynda again would she marry him and she says yes. Notes: The Best: Tash dragging Jamie to the club to search Claudia’s files, and they having to hide under the desk when Lynda and Sam appear to discuss his marriage proposal. Foreshadowing: Sam says he will lift the FA Cup with Lynda one day. This of course happens for Lynda in 9.31 Salt of the Earth but without Sam present. Additional Info: Nikki shares with Claudia how when she was fourteen Linton was one of her all-time heroes. What Was The Score?: Harchester vs. Man City in the FA Cup Quarter Final. Berkovic scores in the first half. Goater scores in the second and Harchester are knocked out of the FA Cup.
