Show me the Money

The FA decide on their actions following the investigation into the clubs dealings whilst Phil takes actions towards shaping the clubs future.

Stuart is back with his son in hospital, he tells him that he's allowed to leave tomorrow. Phil goes to see Stuart, explaining to him that he will no longer be the manager at Harchester due to him missing a game and punching another player. Phil tells him that he has organized for a new manager. He apoligises it didn't work out and hope Ryan the best.

Phil, who has gone to meet the man he hopes to be manager, Alan Rothman. Phil asks him to come back to Harchester but Alan explains that he will only come back if he only has to work 3 days a week, including match days and can get paid a decent amount of money. He leaves the meeting with his personal assistant, Jennifer Taylor without giving an answer to whether he will take the job or not. He tells Phil he will sleep on it.

Alan decides to stay overnight at The Grange, telling Jennifer to book the one room. Jennifer is obviously pleased hearing this.

At The Barons, Jeff is persisting in trying to get Tash to open the door to him. He tells her that he has a present for Hope but Natasha will not listen. Phil turns up, and realizing he is drunk is furious as they have the FA hearing at 9am the next morning. Jeff drops the present through the letter box and leaves with the chairman.

Back at the hotel, Alan tells Jennifer how he doesn't think he'll accept as Harchester are bookies favorites to go down and he doesn't want to look like an idiot taking over a sinking ship. Jennifer reminds him that this is a ticket back into the game for him.

Jeff is round at Phil's and is being forced to drink water constantly to get himself sober. Phil has a call off Alan at the same time. Alan Rothman accepts the job to become Harchester United's new manager.

It's the day of the hearing. Alan and Jennifer arrive at the club. She explains that a golf tournament in France is not going to be happy with Alan pulling out, Mr. Rothman shrugs it off though.

The boys are in training when Alan Rothman arrives with Jennifer. Fletcher is not happy. He tells Curtis how last time he was around he hated Karl's guts.

Phil is first to speak with the FA. He explains what was planned, that 8 million pounds was spent on Mendoza and the other 2 million was for a scouting operation in North Africa. The FA question him but he manages to stick to the story. They ask him, if the money was for a scouting operation, then why did it go to an over sea account of Jeff Steins.

It's Jeff next and he explains that it was just coincidence the two million went into his account at the same time as the Mendoza deal, and he was the one sorting out the scouting operation. The FA then ask though why 2 days after the Mendoza deal, 1 million pounds was transferred over to Pilar Hernandez's account.

Pilar explains that it wasn't strange at all and that it was normal for Jeff Stein to involve her in a scouting operation in North Africa. She explains how she finds many talents around those areas, including Marcel Sabatier that she found in Tunisia. She tells the FA that Roberto Mendoza will confirm that he wanted to join Harchester and that he received no bung.

Alan is in his new to be office with his PA Jennifer. He tells her that if any journalists see him then she should just say he is looking around. That way, if the hearing doesn't go to plan he doesn't have to sign, even though he has agreed with Phil, but if the hearing is successful he will sign. Stuart arrives and he tells him that he'll see him on match day. He tells him that he won't be at training tomorrow and he will fax him tactics and team sheets.

David Douglas is in the boardroom with Phil, Pilar and Jeff. He tells them that the results have not yet come through but they are certain to be off the hook. They all celebrate, but before they get friendly, Phil tells Jeff that nothing has changed and he will never deal with him again.

Ryan has discharged himself and is back in his apartment with Clyde. The doorbell rings and it's Stuart, he tells Ryan that he has to come home to be looked after. When he sees that Ryan has had alcohol he is even less happy. Ryan tells his Dad that this is his home and he isn't leaving, a saddened Stuart leaves.

Jeff is back in his hotel suit and rings Tash asking for her to pick up. He says sorry and asks her to kiss Hope for him, which she does.

Back at the club, Alan is about to get in his limo to go to the golf tournament he can now get to. Jennifer says that she will wait with him but he tells her not to forcing her away. Jennifer goes upstairs and Alan gets in his limo. While she is upstairs in his office, she realizes he doesn't have his passport. She runs downstairs to just catch the limo. To her shock, Alan is in the limo with another older, more attractive woman.

Back upstairs, it's only Nikki and Phil left. Phil, before he is once again interrupted asks Nikki if she would like to go for a drink with him, she tells him that she would love to. They decide that they will leave at different times so no one sees them and gossips. Phil tells her he'll be outside in his car.

As Nikki happily goes down the stairs, she finds Phil and Pilar at reception. Pilar is telling Phil that now Roberto has found out his career is over and he doesn't care what happens as he cannot receive a ban, he just wants his money back. She explains that Mendoza thinks admitting to this will altogether make a better autobiography, and is going to tell the FA. He either gets the rest of the money, that Jeff took or he goes to the FA. Phil asks her to go to his office, asking Nikki on the way if they can reschedule their ‘meeting' for tomorrow.

Jeff is met by Phil and Pilar asking for the one million back so they can give it to Mendoza. They ask if he is bothered that he will get banned if he doesn't give it to Roberto but he tells them that he doesn't care as his business is practically over anyway. He explains that he is going to retire and buy a little house somewhere in another country with the one million. Phil tells him that he will bring more clients his way and forget about the money he owes him. Jeff tells him that there's only one thing he wants and that's seeing his daughter and grand daughter again.

Stuart, who is home alone, turns on the television to see Alan Rothman in a celebrity golf tournament along with other characters such as Andy Gray. Jennifer is also watching this, at the bar in The Grange. Karl, who is also in the bar with his wife Abi, Nikki and Curtis is not happy how they are second from bottom and the manager is away enjoying himself in golf tournaments.

Ryan and Clyde arrive. Karl and Curtis are the first to welcome him, while Abi is furious he is out. She asks him to go home as he should be resting and not drinking. He tells her he'll have one mineral water and then he'll go home.

Meanwhile, Phil has gone round to see Tash. He tells her that he is really worried about him as he has been so down and he tells her that Jeff is really sorry and they should make up. Tash though tells him that it is none of his business. Phil then explains the whole truth about the one million he has. Tash is shocked that he has one million pounds stashed away somewhere.

Back at The Grange, Ryan has just found out Alan Rothman is the new manager and cannot believe it as his Dad has been sacked and he shooed him off earlier in the day when he came to collect him. Abi tells him to calm down and at that moment he is sick all over Jennifer. This causes his stitching to burst and blood starts pouring out of his chest. Abi asks what he had eaten and Clyde tells her that he had a meat pizza. Abi is not happy at all as he is supposed to be on liquids only.

Upstairs in The Grange, Tash has gone to see Jeff, she is furious he stole one million pounds off Phil. Jeff tells her that it was for Hope but Natasha doesn't believe him. She tells her Dad that he either gives the money back or he will never hear the words Dad or Granddad again.

Ryan is back in hospital. He apoligises to his Dad. Stuart tells him that he is happy that he has got his own friends and his own house but he just wants him to be sensible. Ryan agrees to come home with Stuart until he recovers.

Jennifer, after cleaning up is back at the bar with Clyde Connelly. She tells him that he should go to bed otherwise her boss, Alan won't be happy, him staying up past midnight drinking. Clyde leaves the bar, and Jennifer begins watching the TV on Sky Sports. She rings Alan to tell him the news that the Mendoza hearing has cleared, but while she begins to ring him, she sees clips of him from the golf tournament of him flirting with the presenter, the same one that was in the limousine. Alan picks up but she's now upset. She tells him everything that has gone on; Ryan going back into hospital, the lads staying up well past midnight, Fletcher throwing nuts at the TV screen, and Connelly trying to chat her up. He tells her he'll be home in the morning.

It's the next day and Jeff signs, giving the one million to Mendoza. Meanwhile, downstairs, Alan has arrived for training. He has a go at Fletch and fines Connelly a weeks wages for being in a bar past midnight 48 hours before a game. Alan then tells Stuart to just make them do 5 aside and then let them off 20 minutes early. Stuart is shocked, but Alan tells him that less is more.

At the end of training Alan calls Karl Fletcher to his office. He presumes that he is being dropped but he tells him to shut up and listen. He tells him that he is going to make Karl his Captain. Fletch cannot believe it and is very pleased.

Back at The Barons, Tash, Linzie and Hope are all getting in the car to go to Harchester's home game. Jeff arrives telling Tash he gave the money back, Tash ignores him and gets into the car. Natasha suddenly feels sorry for him and tells him that he can watch the game in the house and then have tea with Hope afterwards.

The match is beginning and it's Harchester v Manchester City. The team are in the dressing room and Fletch is keeping everyone positive. Alan prepares the team talk, he just tells them to go out there and enjoy themselves, he tells them to keep it simple and have some fun.

Harchester get the match underway and start well. Clyde gets the ball, and threads it through to Fletcher who turns, shoots and scores, putting Harchester 1-0 up.

Phil is not celebrating though. He is in the boardroom. He cannot believe it after finding out that he paid Mendoza the one million back and he is still going to tell the FA everything. Nikki comes to see him and he opens up to everything. The FA have found out and Phil explains that the announcement will be first thing Monday morning, with Harchester most probably being docked 6 points. He tells Nikki that it doesn't matter how many goals Karl Fletcher scores, they'll need a miracle to save the club.

The match is nearly over and the Harchester Captain, Karl Fletcher scores his second goal of the match via a header.
