By the middle of the 2000-01 season, with Prashant Dattani withdrawing his overdraft, he tells Lynda she needs to find ten million pounds within 28 days otherwise the bank will sell the club from under her. Lynda organises tickets for Trevor and his son Martin to Monday Bandele's sold-out debut, so Trevor gets to witness how good things are going on the pitch and give Lynda's ideas more time. When the Lair's North Stand needs repair work totaling £150K, Trevor refuses to allocate funds believing the club is no longer financially viable, and recommends Lynda take Prash on his offer to reinstate the overdraft plus a £5M loan, which she refuses. |
