Ray speaks with Didier in his office, with how they've some tough games in both D.I. Dawson sits outside the ground in a van while Lynda is wired up to record Jerry. Jerry questions Marilyn about Prash’s dealings with the other directors, stating if she's been helping her former lover round up shares he will be thinking seriously about her future. There is a commotion when Lynda is refused entry to the Players Lounge, but when she lets Jerry know she is aware of her 15% stake in the club, Marilyn persuades Jerry into letting her in. Jerry asks Marilyn outright whether she told Lynda about the shares she owns, and when Marilyn unconvincingly denies this, Jerry knows she is lying. To the delight of Jeff, Billy scores the first goal. Jerry takes Lynda inside to question her about Prash and to not sell her shares to him because he is a crook. Lynda replies it would take one to know one, and leads with how this setting of the two of them reminds her of Wembley where he pretended he'd just found out about she and Luis. Jerry denies it was the first time and outright says he didn't hire any hitman, leaving Lynda follows Jerry out to the directors box for the second half, and sitting next to him, goads him that he didn't have the guts to have Luis killed because he's a coward, and it was because he was a coward that she preferred Luis to him. Jerry reaches the end of his tether, and in the cheer and noise of the crowd celebrating the second goal, Jerry admits to Lynda he did the Wembley shooting... but it appears only she heard him. The final whistle goes and Lynda gets to the van in jubilant mood thinking they have got Jerry, for Notes: The Best: Ray appointing Didier his captain, amongst his earliest tasks as manager, though not too surprising given their long history. The continued deteriation of Jerry and Marilyn’s long-term working relationship, with Jerry’s cutting line of it's very ugly the sight of a woman lying. Lynda letting Jerry’s confession sink in with a hard, long look at her husband, before she calmly walks away from Jerry. · Quotes: Jeff, again with "The lovely Miss Harwood" and Marilyn snubbing his request for a chat about Billy: "No, not with me you can't!" What Was The Score?: Two yellow cards for Sartor and Fabio Cannavaro in the first half. Didier misses a free kick, while Billy scores. Andy Ansah makes a great run, and with a shot to Scott go 2-0 up. Harchester are through to the last eight of the UEFA Cup. |
