Dream Team Writer Profiles: Francis Johnson

 

Francis Johnson wrote 4 episodes of DT, beginning with Season 1 Episode 5, before moving in front of the camera in his other career as an actor, to play regular Ian Coates, manager and later Director of Football of Harchester United from Episode 15 until Season 2 Episode 76. For Season 3, he moved back behind the scenes as the show’s Storyliner, and penned a further three episodes.

 

After appearing in "Framed" (2 eps, 1992), Francis was a regular in "Brookside", playing Ellis Johnson for more than 70 episodes between 1991-93.
